First start and test run after purchase. 1979 Pontiac Firebird Formula 5.7l The car drove amazingly well considering how long it’s been sitting. 2 registered keepers with 80k on the clock the car drove great..no knocks, bangs or rattles, very smooth drive. Happy days 😁.. I guess just bit of spit n polish from here . 😅

Latest project a 1979 Pontiac Firebird Formula 5.7l Bought the car off of eBay sight unseen. The car seemed to start and drive fine from what I’ve been told and video that was sent to me. Got it dropped off by transportation company. See what happens 😔 Just hope its not a lemon 😬

Had to let it go.. to much rust issues for my liking. At least got it running again, maybe give it another chance to see few more years from here amd let someone fix it and enjoy it 👍

Sadly the lazy idle issue from my last effort video turned out to be ignition related, hence before this video it was just cranking again but no start.. Changed out the full ignition system including distributor, plugs, leads and it fired up nice.. Possible weak spark due to ICM or pickup coil in the distributor. Runs great now 💪😊

Got the new fuel pump installed. Finally got the fire chicken running again after sitting for 6 plus years. Not sure how I feel about the way it idles tho has a lazy tone to it..Need to redo those dodgy fuel lines and clamps with quality ones. Who let that cat out the bag!! Does sounds nice tho with the blown out cat, probably straight pipe it later on but is another job I wasn’t expecting :( S...

Didn't know they came out with a 2.8L V6. My 2001 Firebird convertible has a 3.8 V6 and I thought that was the smallest that came out. And mine is quiet with stock muffler.

man why do you have mercedes benz wheels on a trans am? instead of the turbine wheels and the bowling ball hubcaps
Turbine wheels are too expensive and hard to get hold of so I used these instead.. They don't look to bad, the kids love it tho
