Malana is based on culture and tribe . In Malana women are so hardworking. They built home ,go to the jungle, carry heavy stuff , take care of children, cooking, cleaning and even all men stuff they do by their own. I have seen in malana that men do very less work .They mostly sit around the temple of “Jamdagni Rishi” . Smoke chillom and do mostly hash sale work. They believe in their God so much deep by heart . Whatever their God order them they follow .
Gourimaasi naani is about 84 year now . She is still fit and fine . Still she live alone in her house . She go to jungle . She cook for herself. She sing very well. She have relatives around in the village so sometimes she visit to them.
She still love me the same . This time again I went to see her . We went two girls by scooty towards Malana . It was different experience but we enjoyed it a lot. In August Malana people celebrate their God festival so we went to attend it. I visited almost 10-12 houses. They all give us huge respect and a lot of food.
We visited temple also and we dance with them fully. Their instruments and dance is little different than Manali but I spent most of time with them so I knew it.Temple ground was full of many villagers and relatives from other village . All were dancing with full of energy. We enjoyed this fully.
It is very different experience to live among them. Their language is different.Their living is different. This is what I like the most at Malana .
I visited Gourimaasi nani . She is very happy when she saw me . She gave me tight hug . Like always I feel so much blessed from heart. It feels like we win the expensive souls . It gives you deep satisfaction. Now she ask me for food. I said no because I already had some food at other house . So she went to her room and bought some Jalebi and pakode to me and my friend . I am so thankful to her for her precious time . I feel so much happy when I saw her . Now we talk about life and things.
And like every time she know that I ask her to sing something so she always prepared. Actually she don’t need to prepare herself,she is a Master .
I told to my friend Khushboo to record the video so I keep this precious memory with me forever. She sang almost 5-6 songs . This is one of them. I love Gourimaasi naani .
