Despite having an account from a long time (around 2010), i'm using this stuff few years ago. My main target to put there: Good old games. I will say it in advance: I'm not a "Lets-play" type player.

I expected that mission to be difficult - and it was at start. Chemical missiles coming, Banshees (those fighter prototypes mentioned in cutscene) - but enemy doesn't attacked somehow. And things got weirder from that point.
First - in 9:55, i tried to destroy Weed Eater in order to deny them a supplies, needed for their missiles.
Then, a several Tick Tanks responded, but were attacked by monster and tanks with Attack Bikes destroyed it. Thus Chemical Missiles had been taken out of equation. And Banshess stopped attacking at all. Whole mission has been turned in giant clean-up operation (by that i mean, unlike previous missions, i had to take BOTH all buildings AND all units ot of action).
But this false sense of security (almost) costed me dearly. In 59:00 my Construction Yard has been captured, but unlike in Red Alert 2 enemy doesn't sell immediately after the capturing a vulnerable building.
Three more missions to go (technically four, because for sake of completion i'll play both variants of next mission).

Short and easy mission, beside that one blunder (2:00 - Hijacker has been killed), i could live without Hijacker. Next mission will be more difficult - it ends the Northern European front.

Defend this crash site for 10 minutes - easier said than done, even more so in Hard. After around 10 attempts, i managed to keep both north Vulcan Turrets standing (only to sold them due to missclick - i was such a moron) and killing Cyborgs asap. Only more difficult mission will wait before me.

This mission gone bit easier than previous one - top bad the gambit with train doesn't worked. Lasers hurts - both against infantry and vehicles. Good thing that enemy's basen destruction wasn't necessary.

I learned two lessons from this mission: First, Cyborg are HARD to kill and i'll need a superior firepower to take them down. Second, if i want to destroy a Harvester (classic reaction - if i attack it, all units will go after offenders), then i have to do it from afar, due to volatile content (it's Tiberium after all) that truck carried. I found that a hard way.

Why Tiberian Sun, you ask? First, because i wanted to cover something else than shooter, two, it was my first "original" games (read: with box, manual and CD's) but i finished only GDI campaign. So i'm going to finish both campaigns, including Firestorm expansion.
Speaking about that screw-up, i forgot to record that jumping through bottomless pit into door (of course i fell and died) and killing everything in next chamber. Luckily it was a short part. One more thing - Shamblers and Vores are most dangerous enemies in games, but they are manageable. Former can be tricked into melee combat (it doesn't always work, though), when latters projectiles can be driven into cover. But Spawns? I hate them so much!

Ok, it took a while to get to secret level of this addon - as a reward i got quick, nice slaughter level with Quad damage powerup.
Wow, i have to adapt from one game style to another. Beside that i'm going to try another addon - what can i say for now. Ammo is scarce (once more Enforcers doesn't drop Cells, when killed), ambushes are "everywhere" (even Rottweiler were included), a precise jumping are required. I fell i'll have a rough time with it. PS. those level names are real - those are names of mental disorders!
For a last "episode", it was underwhelming. Sure, that gauntlet of tough enemies (Heavy Hover Tanks were most dangerous - i didn't knew he had a melee attack with such knockback; Stream Protectors and Light Tanks were manageable) was tough, Tacticals were dangerous (thanks for weapons, suckers) - but Makron? One thing i had to be careful was stomping attack (hiding behind generators doesn't work), beside that, "shoot it until it dies" treatment worked, even with 2nd phase. Speaking about "Nexus" i was a complete moron shooting at brain - in 4-5th attempt, i looked above and sighed "Maybe i should shoot there" and it worked. About the whole game - it is a decent game, published in wrong time. There were plans for expansion, but they were cancelled. Oh well, maybe someday this Quake will receive a "Nightdiver" treatment someday.
Several things about that episode: -i HATE Iron Maidens -i HATE those enemy counterpart of mine (especially those with Hyperblasters and Railguns), at least i can pry tose weapons from their cold, dead hands, -and Berserkers, got upgraded since Quake 2, and it shows -i got a case of "Objective failed", one.
Now this is the point, where game's throwing the gloves off. A lot of deaths, damn those Tacticals (and if not Rhino Squad, i'd be converted as well). And two boss fights in one chapter - poor Lieutenant Voss. I was to mechanic, boss is more wounded the arena was smaller, but not there.
The mission was simple - deliver EMP package into Nexus and take out this menace for good. Everything has gone wrong, as usual - all packages has been destroyed (at least one, courtesy of Harvester), a squads has been massacred, and appearance of Makron was icing on this cake.
After that destruction brought by three soldiers ( Bitterman, Joker and Stepchild), the Stroggs should go extinct. And somehow, they're still alive and kicking. It's up to Rhino Squad (and other squads) to put down this threat for good. This game is very old by modern standards (almost 20 years - this game was published in 2005), but this is still "Quake" nonetheless.
OUCH! I have lost count, how many times i died in this Tomb, if not by Imps hands, then by Cyberdemon rockets. If i knew about that Invulnerability stuff earlier. I'm glad i finished this WAD.
Oh, well at least Spider Mastermind is here. Hey, what's going on between Hell Baron and Mastermind (20:00)? I'll leave them alone, they will deal with each other. And "Vivisection level - that level deserved such a title, walking through all those corpses after Red-key arena.
Wow, wow, that got intense pretty quickly - especially in Hell Mountain level. The guest list is full, only Archvile, Spider Mastermind and Cyberdemon are absent.
Really, i barely managed to finish "Doom 2016", and they Doom + Doom 2 had been updated. I got updated for free, because i had this stuff on GOG for few years. What we have here? Doom 1+2? Check. TNT Evilution and Plutonia Experiment? Check. No Rest for the Living, Sigil and Legacy of the Rust? That was unexpected, though should i expect that one after Quake 1 and 2 being upgraded with additional episodes. But thing that caught me off-guard is possibility of downloading WADs from game menu. I'm picky one about WADs, so i'll have to look for recommended ones. Changed music from classic one to Andrew Hushults remix.

So that's it . I managed to finish "Blood". Genuinely enjoyed this - challenging title, sometimes weapons were tricky to use (looking at you, TNT), enemies can hit hard (everything but Zombies and Animals),levels are good (too many to count). I think Shadow Warrior (1997 version, not from 2013) will be next to tackle.

No problem. Looking what's going on with games today, i will go for retro for a while. And Cryptic passage remained to beat. Started it like a complete moron- imstead of starting throgh Options -> Manage Addons, i started from custom maps. Thus alll those graphic glithes, i was not aware. Tried from Well Done difficulty - i felt difference, like Cultists throwing whole bundles of TNT, not a single sticks.

You know, it can be done: Eerie music with Alternate Quake Ost, even Deep Darkness can be illuminated (just ask Dreadnaughts), and Deadly Traps can be overwhelmed.
add an entry , e.g "intro" ( or start-yup :o) with tms 0:00 and the chapters work ( plus Newline between title & remarks , you'll see the diff ;o)

Love this game, the original one from 1994 and now this one.
I hadn't an occasion to play an 1994 version, so i had to make up for that by playing 2023 version.
@@1RedRiot It's ok to not play the original Version, believe me that the keyboard-controls were a real pain in the a** until the mouse-look version comes. But I love it anyway 😵💫

@@1RedRiot Sshock was one of my first video games on PC, like Magic Carpet, Dungeon Keeper, Descent etc. etc... But I really startet gaming with Lemmings on an Atari ST. You see, I'm old now, and I'm indulging in nostalgia right now 😂.

yes it is quite a confusing Game initially and the initial release was quite buggy iirc and i myself rather impatient , so i flushed it from my HD initially But once it grabs you and you come to terms with its mechanisms , esp in the remake , whoa !

I just read descriptions under your dlc vids and I find them very helpful and informative since there is almost nothing about those missions in steam forum Game is unarguably sick and imo iceland, madagaskar and hawai were the greatest missions so far Exotic/non European countries were damn great aswell Need complete 2 more last bastion missions and assault europe and still got willings to play, game is amazing despite inhuman difficulty spikes I will probably skip France battle though, you and some other ppl said it was painful af and final bs boss not even worth time spent.
