NAMASANKIRNA - A Bharatanatyam Performance by Divya Shivasundar & K Sarveshan
Earlier this year I partnered with Divya Shivasundar to bring back to the stage compositions that are peculiar to the Natya tradition of the legendary Bharatanatyam icons: The Dhananjayans. From Nandichollu to Rama Nama Mahima Nrityopaharam to the intricate Sankirnachapu Nrittangaharam, this performance takes its time to unravel, creating a sense of "sowkhyam", to privilege the processes that allow subtle nuances and grand gestures to emerge.

A notable showcase of this young man's [then] skills, poetry and devotion. He is clearly articulate and dedicated to his art. I wish the clip had been longer... (And shame to those arriving late to their seats! They show disrespect and disregard to all the artists they are disrupting, as well as to the rest of the audience.)

Thanks for your prompt reply With due respect to Dhananjayan sir's composition and choreo which I can see while you perform, I would like to use the song composition of Ganesha Shabdam and try my best to choreograph this item to teach my students.
