Thai AirAsia X's first flight to Australia was connecting DMK with BNE in June 2019 using their A330neos. Then after covid, they started flights to SYD from BKK in December 2022 using their A330s.

@@justaflyer so when did Thai air Asia stop flying to Sydney? As of now, only Qantas and Thai airways fly to Bangkok.

since covid, they moved their base to BKK. but after reevaluation, they decided to move back to DMK to distribute the load of both airports. For some reason, they decided to postpone flights to SYD, while all of their other routes continue to operate from DMK right after. They announced to continue flights to SYD from 1st December this year.

As I've said, I specifically booked this flight, and especially for scoot because they were to be served by a widebody. I've researched about a month prior to booking about their scheduling to make sure I would be on it. It's just a shame that these things still happen. AirAsia offers slightly more legroom than scoot, and it would've been a more comfier ride than this, and that's a fact I can vouch for. I haven't been on their A321neos that have the same seatings as the newer scoot planes, but I'd imagine the experience would be similar to this video. As for my backpack, I already have a carry-on stowed away above. but my backpack carries my essentials including all my camera gear and necessary power supplies for my trip and gear for filming.

i would probably avoid this airline in the future, mainly due to the fact that the seats are very narrow. I wouldn't be able to sit comfortably if I didn't have a whole row to myself. I'll have a trip report up soon.

35A has double windows for that row, it perfectly aligns with myself so I'm not bothering anyone. I typically always try to choose window seats where I'm not looking at the pillar, and so I don't bother anyone with my mount.

@@justaflyer I'm trying to do the same, but it's hard to see on most websites seating maps, so I'm going around looking at other video during their boarding 😂

If it's under the same airline and booking number. You should only need to check in once at the beginning of your journey. Double check with your travel agent if that's how you booked your trip.

You only need to go to transit lounge ,no need to check in ,make sure you receive a boarding pass for both legs on your first flight

Very likely it was a landing instead. SIN uses runway 02L/20R mainly for landings, and the aircraft looks like it is moving too fast to be in the takeoff phase at that part of the runway
