how did you solve the problem/. I have a 2024 KIA purchased at the end of March and I’m having the same issue.

Possible antenna not connected. Try deleting presets and then run scan or seek. If it doesn’t pickup any stations, probably antenna issues. If it does pick up stations but no sound, the defect is probably internal. Sound obviously works so it’s not speakers or speaker wires.

I bought a used 2012 Kia soul 6 months ago and after 3 months the radio stop making sound, the very same problem you're having so if you have the answer to this problem please comment and let me know. Greatly appreciated

Your temp in not in F. It was reading C. Different weather system.

At lease it cranks narrows down the issues possibilities

so try this before you call out to get it towed away, they probably will move the mat back, and charge you for a new antennae coil,

Hold on there me buckos,had the same thing, repairman came along, moved the drivers floor mat back, and started first time, apparently, starting sequence involves flooring clutch pedal, the mat moves forward, and stops the clutch pedal touching the floor, NOT THE FIRST CALL OUT I'VE HAD FOR THESE , he said, however, if you have an automatic(lazy swine) I cannot help you.

My starter just went out on my Kia Soul 2012 . 67,000 miles on it . So I replaced the starter and it works good

Same happened to me, was my fuel pump and then it triggered off the fault with my starter motor because it burnt out car was dead, my koup was only 3 1/2 years old... I've had a total of 7 factory faults.. I am now taking Kia to office of fair trading for a full refund of my koup including all services I've paid on the car..... my car is only just 5 years... the dealership I bought it from is ignoring me not returning my calls... Its your fuel pump failing... if you keep trying to start it it can blow your stater motor... it's a factory fault issue

immobilizer has issues on our 09 Spectra as well. Dealer replaced antenna once and it worked well for a year or so. Now acting up intermittently again. How does an antenna wear out? I think it's a corrosion issue on the connection. They just change parts as a reflex, but perhaps contact cleaner may be a more permanent solution. (pun intended)

Omg mine does the same exact thing 2011 soul im so freaking pissed everytime i go to the dealership it starts up fine and they wont fix it...

wow never seen this on a kia soul i am getting mine soon. Yeah go to be the antenna. Love the Soul you must have an exclaim model or a plus because of the leather steering wheel

I know this post is a few years ago but it can be useful if you have this issue. I had the same problem here and the car had been towed to the dealer. They quickly found that there was a problem with the immobilizer antenna. They replaced it, reprogrammed the existing keys and everything is working well since that time. Everything was done under warranty.

I have a Kia Soul 2011 with the same problem .. what was the solution?

I've had intemittent starting problems with my 2009 Soul 1.6 petrol. Changing the plugs seemed to cure it for a while, but after the third set I contacted the dealer. Their advice was to check for a corroded immobiliser earth on the near side inner wing. I was sceptical because the car was just over two years old, but checked all 3 earth bolts on the inner wing/suspension turret and found them to be rusty. 2 of them are behind the ECU ,a little awkward but there's enough room without removing it
