Hi I’m a premed wanting to pursue a MSTP and I’ve also played basketball most of my life so I can understand to some extent how you must feel. One of the most unpredictable things to do. Also I have 2 questions, Do you know Drork and what is your research in? Also thank you for the insight!
Hello! I’m not sure what you mean by Drork? My research is in systems neuroscience, I study neural activity in a mouse model of cocaine use disorder🐭

@@rummiiis6667for anatomy I always recommend drawing things out and coming up with pneumonics! For physiology, I love video- boards and beyond, and dirty medicine are my favorites. Talk things out to really understand the process. And practice questions are key!!

How did you get rid of the scars
@@aryy7 good skincare and time!! I used rococo botanicals and lilac and flint products. I also did LED red and blue therapy daily for the past year❤️ the longer you go without a breakout, the more the scars start to diminish. Oh and also whatever you do try NOT to pick, or learn how to professionally extract. I think this saved me🤍

Please can you tell me how you enter MD-PhD programme in USA Am interested in doing the same but am not from medicine background (am majoring in Biochemistry) though
Hi! Yes- I’d encourage you to check each program you’re interested in specifically to see if they accept international applicants. Each website also usually details the steps to apply. Most US colleges have premed offices to help with the application process, but if you’re international you can also work with an independent company. I know a group personally I’m happy to connect you with if you’d like😊

Currently a postdoc at BCM so I love seeing grad school life vlogs! Just curious - does the free tuition impact MD-PhD students? I remember when I was looking into it, it seemed like a lot of it was funded through MTSP. But is that only a small number of positions?
MSTPs are federally funded (ours being one of them!) while other MD-PhD programs are not funded or funded through another source. Our tuition for med school has been funded by the NIH previously. At this point it’s unclear if the donation will cover our tuition too but if so, that previously allocated money might go to something else🤷♀️👀
