    I'm glad you are providing details for service providers on Shoprider. I'm still looking for tool sizes, metric or imperial, where to obtain tools, and more. I'm out of luck so far. But I'm glad to have watched your videos, and I've subscribed. Being a shoprider owner, I've no resources provided by them on how to do things Shoprider refuses to cover under warranty, such as tires. That's why drive wheel video caught my eye.

      Hey Gregory, Depending on the type of shoprider you have eBay has lots of parts they offer new or used. The shop rider that I'm working on in the video is a Shoprider XLR14 those drive wheels are 14x3 solid drive tires they are split rim so you can buy the tire and replace them with the new ones which would save you some money Also, Basic tools work fine on any power chair I would recommend getting some Thandles most chairs have Hex Grub Screws and Hex Button Head Socket Cap Screws. Unfortunately, they are both standard and metric so I would buy a set with both standard and metric. Let me know if I can help you with anything else or even do a video or troubleshoot an issue. Let me know what type of P/W you have. Thanks for watching the videos hope they help.

    Thanks for the video on battery replacement. It saddens me that no mention of tools req'd, even if mm or not. I'll keep looking. Shoprider makes wheel replacement the owner/user problem, but provides no information about that. Shoprider is to blame for that. I appreciate your video.

      Hey Gregory, Thank you for that comment you are totally right that's one of the things that I had trouble with when I first got to this industry it was frustrating not knowing the type of tool that I needed. So thank you for bringing that up I will start mentioning the tools. 1/2 inch wrench to remove foot plate and hex nuts behind the seat frame to tilt forward and size 10mm socket to remove the hex bolts from the battery harness. There is 3 types of batteries that can be used with this type of chair Group 34, 60 Amp Gel Batteries Group 22NF, 50 Amp AGM Batteries and Group Group 24, 75 Amp Gel Batteries.

    That’s smart to write date on battery, I need a silver sharpie now

    Oooops never mind I see you did use the hitch! Cuz. Normally they want you to attach it to the crossbar and that caused a lot of problems.

  • @ChairWrencher
    @ChairWrencher หลายเดือนก่อน

    Interesting goose. However when the chair has the hitch in the back that’s used for like baskets that sticks out it totally gets in the way of the 02 holder. I’ve had to modify the holder itself or sometimes integrate it into the hitch (drilling and cutting) I’d like to know what you do in that situation.

      @@ChairWrencher Your absolutely right it does get in the way for a basket. The O2 holder that was installed from Pride comes with a extra hitch attachment for a basket. But yes I’ve had to cut and modify the basket post.

    I sure am liking your videos because I’m a wheelchair tech myself. (20years) and I just did the exact same repair. But yes the 3 things that I always fear doing these where I’ve died. One is the small set screw 2.5 mm holding the brake lever stripping. Two is the hub being frozen on. Where I’m lubing /hammering it off or using the stupid puller. And third is trying to get all the cables in that friggin power module. The zip ties, etc. that can take longer to do then the actual motor installation lol

      @@ChairWrencher Lol I feel your pain. You should start making videos of your repairs you will be surprised how many new techs get help by watching this videos.

    does this have to stay plugged in after programing

    • @Gustavo-qt1sf
      @Gustavo-qt1sf หลายเดือนก่อน

      No sir once you’re done programming your chair and write it (save it) to the chair you can unplug the programmer and all the changes you made to the chair should be saved. You only leave it plugged in during the programming. Hopefully that helps.

    What if it blinks red and how do I fix it

    • @Gustavo-qt1sf
      @Gustavo-qt1sf 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      1 red light blinking on the joystick means the batteries have a low voltage probably under 9 volts and will need to replace the batteries. If its a Jazzy Elite it takes 2 -12 volts 35 ah batteries. (U1) . The jazzy battery charger has a 3 step charging system the first light is solid red when charging the unit after a few hours the red light will blink going into a rapid charge once the light turns green the system is fully charged. if the person that is using the unit is an active user I would recommend to charge the unit every night 10-12 hours. Hope this helps...
