Rival Sons intimate 2011 performance of "On My Way" at Toronto's Cherry Cola Night Club. The band would play 6 or 7 shows a week here during many music festivals prior to getting signed. Great early footage clearly showing why they stood out from the crowd. Enjoy!

Merry Christmas Dee I'm not sure when or where I met you. I do remember you said you were Darko too. I never had met one of those before... I guess we became instant Bros, I don't recall ever having an argument with you. Well, we mighta fought over the last beer once or twice :) Here's some memories I dug up for you. A few split seconds of good times we had back in the day, when there was a cam...

Any update on the stolen guitars? Did they ever surface and return to Michael?
"Remember that movie ET?" "Yeah" "That was a great movie." 🤣🤣🤣
Not a day goes by that I do not think of Dee. Miss him
A great nice guy and a great rock n roller ... my life was gifted with Dee as a friend.
Thank you so much Darko❤
Great album great band.
He is (that is Michael)the best fucking guitar player in my life time.We had a bunch of names a head of him,but they are no longer proving the future as he does and continues.. Thanks Michael, from Michael.
Those Dean guitars are ugly
It's been on here since 2011 and nobody's fucking commented yet after all these damn years? Jesus christ I am so going first. This is a year or less before i met her, whenever i saw her she never looked this healthy... wonderful performance, matches the studio version perfectly.... MAY WE PLEASE HAVE HER CDS BACK IN PRINT WHEN YOU GET A CHANCE?! I NEED TO BUY THE ONES I DON'T HAVE! Especially Unicorn Steak, that's my favorite, if I had to pick just one, although I haven't gone into Big Dirty Band yet... One band at a time... Vinyl works too, even though that costs more and is harder to print then ever. I've already told Friendship stories elsewhere and I dont feel like repeating it on here right now. Look elsewhere! Care was a wonderful lady and Anthony is a real cool dude! I happen to have that same guitar... since 2004... happens to be one of the ones she had. Mine is modded though. Needs more mods. I want Push Pull Pots, and a D Tuner, which will ALMOST turn into a 7 string... She left hers Vintage Original Specs. Mine has Bigsby, the nut is replaced with Bone, the pickups are Louder (but still same pickups, she and i were all like, "if a guitar has good pickups, don't fuck with it"), and the tuning pegs are replaced with BB King Tuning pegs in silver. I kind of happen to have about 3 or so guitars that are similar to hers by fucking coincidance. but the one that is closest to one she owned is my Gibson SG standard. And now when I play it I always think of her to one extent or another even though I had it for 8 years before we met, which is fucked up. I asked her a bunch of times, how could she stand the crushing weight of the Explorer (which honestly sounds similar to the SG to me, just weighs a shit ton more, upper neck access appears the same), and the Firebird (another great sounding guitar that my bones cant take), which were her top 2 Guitar Loves for electric. But she never fucking answered on that subject matter! Maybe she did that to screw with me? I dunno, that was kind of Her Thing, screwing with people. Also bending them to her will. She was so good at both, grrrr! I almost bought 2 of her guitars. but the Explorer/Firebird were not them! Nope, those were her other SGs....Seemed kinda pointless to ask about this one seeing as I already had this exact model. Care was the first rock star of her Her Type (i describe elsewhere) in my generation, and the last Girl Rock as opposed to Metal/Grungeleader Star ever, period. This is what happens when you put your career first, and you make it big before the end of 2006 (which was honestly the last real chance any of us had thanks to fing major labels. I am happy that she made it big even though i so far have not. One of us had to!) I would imagine getting through school for her and doing all this was a gargantuan pain in the ass, but it's what she wanted. I put my personal life first until i could get it in order. And now my career is behind. To each their own. We had so many things in common, we were actually lucky to get to meet and know each other at all, and we made it count while we could. One day i will write them all down all the things we had in common for Historical Record. But Not Here. This is not the place for it. It would take WAY TOO DAMN LONG AND TOO MUCH SPACE TO DO THAT HERE. RIP My Friend/Comrade.
They will end up playing together. Its a circle. Im sure. Like closing a gap.
number...one
SO BASICLY
This interviewer suckkkkkssssssss!
love the way that Joe is not 'conditioned' to play in any 'style'. [when he improves ~min 25 and beyond]. this is, for many of us, very hard to do, as we need to fight the temptation to repeat lines from early rock [pentatonic/ blues/funk]. as 'conditioned' by the endless repeats of the same bands/songs/lines of the 70ties - on any 'classic rock' radio stations everywhere.
I guess the word stolen means pawned in Germany
A friend turned me on to UFO Phenomenon around '74 or '75 and I never looked back. I am amazed at how few hard rock musicians today even know who he is.
大好き😘マイケル❤️✨
It's probably sitting in someone's closet and they have no idea its history or worth.

Zee SCIENTIST!
Best Live band .. love SAXON
I bought a ticket to see UFO in Leeds, and between buying it and seeing the gig, Michael left UFO. Mind you, having heard the stories, can you blame him? And Michael, if you ever find you have too many guitars, feel free to send me one!! Thief's are just scum, save up and buy your own guitar ( I was kidding about a free one). I once had a friend who had some fabulous guitars, all top end stuff. I was disgusted at him when I found out he had stolen another players guitar, a low budget Fender Mustang that might have been the only guitar that player had.
I had always wondered about these stories, Michael answered some of these questions behind the scenes and it all made complete sense finally
Crusader was the first song I ever played in my room that made my mom scream "Turn that shit down" over.
forget the guitar I LOVE his choice of jackets
I wish Michael Schenker would still use his old Flying V’s. I love Michael Schenker’s music.. but I hate those Dean Guitars. The Dean Headstock is the ugliest thing I’ve seen on a guitar. Just ruins it. But it is what it is. 👍🎸
👏👏👍🎶🎸🤦♂️✊
Basically Taoism Michael... TAOISM. . Basicaly, I love the ying-yang look, but I absolutely hate that inverse headstock. Sure the Dean guitars are good and play well etc... But that awful UGLY headstock completely detracts from the purity of the arrowhead of the Gibson variant. . Basically, I once had a black velvet jacket, with a silvery-white and black MSG patch on the breast pocket (like a school blazer...), obtained from a concert of MSG that I attended back in the day (early 80's). I wore this jacket to visit my uncle (himself visiting from Australia...). He asked me what the patch meant? . Basically, I said that the patch represents - ''Michael's School of Guitar '' He still remains one of my largest influences on guitar technique, his precision and melodic nuances were perfect, certainly to me at the time. Basically,.... One of Rock's greatest legends by far.
He’s funny as shit 🤪
The best
it means the dark and the light of life michael
I just don’t like the Dean Headstocks,Love Michael’s playing, and they do sound amazing of course.
Modern day fairytale but it was about a real guy trust me!!!
I don't understand why the Gibson Custom Shop isn't launching his White V-Model. Of course I don't think Dean guitar is bad either.
His first spandex were purchased when he was 10 years old?
this video made my cry i miss him he was so damn talented and fun to be around RIP DEE
Rudolf is a better composer but Michael is the better guitar player.
Whaat?!
Old men with long hair look ridiculous.
Oooh Penelope I have long hair but unfortunately NOT ON MY HEAD ?
No one gives a flying fuck here about your opinion on long hair on old men, and I should think least of all old men who sold 30 million records. At least they look a hell of a lot better than old women.with short hair...
Stupid comment.
Those Deans are Fugly as hell ! That headstock is ridiculous. I wish Gibson would do a signature model for him.
Love Michael - His guitars his style his personality his music 👍🤘
Dean, the guitar of gods! Dimebag and Micheal Shenkar!!!!
Interviewer is was a A-hole.
Fitting tribute , excellent musical choice , btw .... well done Darkone !
Saxon is no joke...
Those guitars are like German Panzers ...love them. Thanks Micheal. The Arc Angel
🤘🏻 💀 ♥️
Thank You!!
Im sure Dee would approve of the return of Sven Gali and the sound they returned to!
Did he ever get them back
Awesome interview. Which is a tough thing to do even if the subject is an easier interview . I tried making a documentary and interviewed a musician friend and it was still hard even thought I knew him previously. .
