"What is Jazz?" is a short film I made during the hectic college application process.
Through this film, I sought to explore my favorite music genre, jazz. Jazz has opened various creative doors for me and has allowed me to meet so many amazing people.
As a senior in high school and soon to be in college, jazz was one of the many reasons I began using a camera. Without music, I would've never found my passion. Thus, I wanted to show the appreciation of this small community through a short documentary.
In the future, I hope to remake this documentary into a much longer and profound one.
I want to thank everyone who helped me produce this film in a short amount of time. Thank you to Mr. J, the jazz department at OCSA, and all of my friends who collaborated with me.
