A last appreciation post from Osiyeza
Life has presented me with an incredibly big present. And there were a lot of people involved that I would like to thank, first of all, my Maker for giving me the power to do it, my brother, Chris Moolman, my incredibly beautiful girlfriend Bronwyn, and all my friends.
The team who helped me with my boat including Charles, Richard Kohler, Ralph Teilings, and many more mentioned in the video, and to my sponsors Above and Beyond logistics who shipped Osiyeza, Casio South Africa for an amazing smart watch, Lourens de Beer from MIAIE who built the website and who published daily updates on my social channels and Nils Slaten for all his PR work.
If I omitted anyone in the video, forgive me it’s been a long day!

My Atlantic Crossing has been dedicated from the beginning to the people of South Africa. After 36 days alone at sea, I’ve had ample time to reflect on our nation-its challenges, its resilience, and its potential. In this video, I share my thoughts on our collective future and how, together, we can work toward building a brighter, stronger South Africa. 🇿🇦🌊 #HopeForSA #AtlanticCrossing

Well said Gerhard. True and inspiring words. You are a legend
Thank you for this message GM. Very very true and also true in our every day life. We should never lose hope and faith. Does not matter what comes over our paths, we should always have our Faith, stand strong in our moral values and Belief there is good in everyone and everything, and trust in our saviour. Does not matter what God sends us to keep us strong and our faith in our self and our brothers and sisters. We have to belief that God can change anything and everyone and even our country so we can stand together again as a nation. The tide can change for all if all want to make the change. We should never forget to be there for each other(not wanting something in return when you do something for someone else) like God is there for us every second of every day. Keep safe on your last leg of the journey. Lisa and Ryno
I imagine all who are supporting you have a very good idea why SA is where it is. Gerhard, likely the last comment I make on your journey. Have watched from the beginning and have enjoyed your journey. What a great example you have set, if the average South African could be half as brave and determined as you have been... Your message is negative, one would need to be a fool not to see it... you talk of moral compass and values... these are found in Christ alone... ( my opinion and belief) congratulations on what you have achieved... respect for your accomplishment.
Well done moolies
