The Direction You Take (from “The Direction West” by Kazu Matsui)
It was one of the greatest recording session with the Vocalist Jennifer Warnes, who sang "Up Where We Belong" with Joe Cocker year after this recording. This song is my prayer for the future generations. Kazu

Two songs from my Shakuhachi albums. Shakuhachi is the bamboo flute from Japan. It has been played by Zen Priest to practice Zen. I am not a priest, but I like the quality of Shakuhachi sound which carries its own history. Two original tunes from my albums. The first tune is called "The Dream Walk", from "Sign of the snow crane" album. The second tune is called "Red Sea", featuring Legendary David Lindley on Setar and Slide Guitar. I met David through Ry Cooder's session for movie sound truck "Southern Comfort" and "Alamo Bay". We became good friends. The photos are from my trip in Japan and India.

Hello Matsui san, I am a fan of yours. I enjoy your music a lot, the traditional shakuhachi is a really cool instrument which you play so majestically. I am also Japanese, and love India, particularly South India with its rich culture. I wish you good health. Love from Tokyo ❤
