The problem with all the mods and special fan-made ships for this game is that there's no control for balance. That is, anyone could easily make a ship that capable of instantly obliterating any of the ships that come with the game. They could make a TOS Constitution whose phasers immediately blow through anything. It makes many or most of the videos depicting a fight between ships essentially invalid as a real comparison of their capabilities.

You should be close to your mic but you are not supposed to put the mic inside your mouth when you speak.

Hey guys! So, I'm currently working on the subtitles which will most likely be done either 2-3 days from now and I also just wanted to say the inaccurate torps were from a different mod affecting the torpedoes. It basically changed them to projectile substitutes.. I'm so sorry 😅. It should be fixed for the next video! Oh also! I'm going to try to record Fear & Hunger for my next video so I might be gone for a bit. Don't worry though, I'm just learning some new tricks with my editing software ^^.

your install used the Projectile Substitute, which is why the torps were kinda crap. talk to any of us for a fix. the "shell' part of the description is correct, but it still had its original guts...they had to put modern ones IN it because there was no-one still alive that could program an M4 comp.

I need to recheck, I recall the KM build uses stock Photons, which in KM shouldn't be that inaccurate unless they were overwritten (which can happen with adding in mods). There is a quick fix - copy the source Tactical Folder (in KM Root Install folder src) into your Scripts folder and replace.😅

All that time you spent switching torpedoes and lining up could have been spent warping around the system and not letting the Sovereign basically use you for shooting practice.

Author here; congratulations, you are channel number 9. I am glad to see the pack is proving popular. also, you pronounced everything correctly the first time. a couple tips, here 1. all global ships have canons. ALL of them! 2. the phaser power slider is NOT a dummy. it needs to be turned up...but to less than 100% or it resets to half power. you are effectively fighting god ships with vanilla ones without touching it. 3. BC's AI auto targets the opponent's deflector dish, as most of the vital systems are in that area, including torpedo tubes and your warp core. 4. everyone turns the power sliders up. KM ships are deliberately overpowered. these ships were hardpointed with KM in mind.

4:04 under the Engineering menu (F5), there is an option to Overload the core (Brex says something about the controls are Fused), this is basically a delayed Self Destruct that can take your opponents with you (this is the blast that the QB Plus AI uses on Extreme AI)

Memo to me - check the HP and make sure the Disruptor points have tactical displays😅😂

Those torpedos are quite powerful, even more so than the Nx01 refit.

Try to research the shield specifications of each ship you fight so you know the weakest place to target and the systems or modules you can reach by breaching that shield. The cardassians are the easiest with their weak rear shields. Just get up behind them and let em have it. Klingons are different but they have weaknesses too.

I spent probably hundreds of hours in this game as a kid with all the mods and ships that were available. It was really ahead of its time, every other similar game didn't really come close to it IMO.

I was screaming at you for getting the registry wrong at first lol. You got it right eventually though ;)

The lore is that the NX was a failed design by new starfleet standards and was relegated to auction after adding the engineering section didn't help to bring the design to Andorian or Vulcan standards within the new Starfleet. So it was sold to civilian transport organizations. The engineering section added a warp core that was too powerful for the ship and would break it apart at full power but was too weak for their shields and weapons upgrade

The balance is way off...The NX Class Mirror withstood Phaser and Photon Torpedo Fire from a Constitution Class...the Vaadwaur shields couldnt take 1 hit from Voyagers phasers. The Vaadwaur ships and tech were considered antiques by comparison and only threatened Voyager when deployed in large numbers. The tech that was shown in the episode I would say is quite comparable between the Vaadwaur and Earth Starfleet. The Vaadwaur fighters are labelled with Primary Fusion reactors on the Eaglemoss stuff and from that would have low warp only (Corridors excluded). IMHO it would take a handful of fighters 2-4 approx to seriously threaten a Season 4 NX Class with 4 being enough to win convincingly

The Sorcerer Class is a "Lost Era" (or X-Era) ship, serving between the TMP and TNG times. She is a beefier Excelsior-like design, and the model has many similarities with the PDW Excelsior/Krakow Class ships.😅
