Thanks Edouard for your excellent explanation. But for the error calcuation, should it be ( Acual - Forecasted value ??) As you made it Forecasted demand- Actual demand, specailly when it goes to MAPE later it will be affected.

Hello, first i thank you for such valuable content for audience. Quick question plz, What is Consolidated cost vs PII ( Profit in inventory) cost.? i am new to the process. We are booking monthly provisions for obsolete goods for Intercompany materials. Journl entry is i,.e. Cr. Balance sheet 1000USD and Dr. P&L consolidated Cost 300USD & PII cost 700USD. May be if you can assist in this part too in detail.?

But some people define it as the inverse of the formula you explained i.e. COGS/Avg. Inventory. Anyways, I find your 'stock turn in days' very useful. Thank you.

Hi Eduardo, this formula also doesn't factor in credit line from suppliers. If I have a supplier who gives 30 days of credit how do I factor this in? Another thing to bear in mind is that in food products there is a shelf life which needs to be factored in for storage. How do I go about incorporating these two things?

If so, should we use Base Rate of the respective month *$70m / 12 mths instead? In that way, the sum of the 12 mths spread = $70m. Thank you for your advice. :)
