I was a student at UC in 1969, and the Bengals were playing their home games that year at Nippert Stadium on the UC campus, so we saw all the games (from the 13th floor of Calhoun Hall...;) He was unbelievable, taking an expansion team and whipping the Raiders, the Broncos, and I don't remember who the other team was in that first stretch. So sad how his life ended up.

Holy shit. I was at this game. This was the last gasp for DePaul to try to reignite their program to greatness like the 80s. They had a really nasty team. They haven’t done shit since those days. This was also peak Bearcats basketball. They were rocking Jordan brand and were looking like they could be the next UNLV. Didn’t last.

Because of Army basic training/AIT I never saw him at his peak. My Browns fans and Steelers fans friends who saw him did nothing but rave. The phrase "better than Anderson" came up several times. And since I think Ken Anderson should be in Canton, that's impressive.

Drove 5 hours in the snow to make it to this game. Froze the whole time. Worth it.
