2016 Lobster Clips

2016 was a weird year for the lobster in South Florida. I just threw some clips together of us catching the bug as Jim Mathie would say.

We came across this nearly 8 foot sawfish on 06-09-2016 in about 60 feet of water. Very cool, very big.

I still suck at editing but wanted to put this up. The new camera can be viewed at viewintotheblue.com/?page_id=418
hammer and a mackerel
มุมมอง 339 ปีที่แล้ว
Good dive with a hog fish, hammerhead shark and some mackerel. Including my current record cero mackerel. Unfortunately, this was my first video in about two months and I didn't aim the camera properly for the best shot of everything. I'm working on it.

This is a collection of video from some of the lobster action this year. Still learning go pro, enjoy.
Thank you!
Same 2023
I still watch the fish via this camera to this day, June 2022!
Cool as can be!
Grateful for this camera. It's beautiful and calming have learned alot ! Thank you !
What a great service to the public this is
I’m a photographer, can you provide more details on the camera? What model, the specs, etc? Thanks!
Thank you so much for this.
Benny was getting ready for his debut
thank you for showing this feed
Looked so shallow when they were swimming out
Spear fisherman are cowards and have karma coming. You see it all the time inky a matter of time. #sharkattack
Cowards? Sheesh
@@dc3john829 yea. Big time. It’s total bullshit.
@@Barkingspider How is it cowardly? Explain?
This is my beach. Grew up going there everyday. Live on the other side of the country now but get to see my sharks and fish daily. I love you Deerfield beach. ❤️
Thanks for installing the camera and making it live. My family watches almost every day . It helps so much especially in the stressful times .My grandkids love it also .
You made a lot of people happy by installing this cam! Cheers!
This camera is great. Kudos to all that installed it.
The day the cam was put in was super calm water. pretty cool. 2020 the cam is shut down after 5pm and shut down on weekends due to strange divers intervening. DFBch can you make it go live again 24/7.
Where are all the fish ?
It would be nice to know brand of camera specifications; especially how it is powered and how it sends the video feed. Thanks.
It's basically a beefed up cat 5 cord in a waterproof wrap and waterproof fittings.
Thank you for sharing! I've been in Deerfield Beach last month and the underwater camera is amazing
I watch the one with the red plant. Is this another cam?
It was installed 4 years ago so the coral has probably formed since then...
Why would anyone give this a thumbs down?
Because they can’t afford internet in their trailer and have to sit in McDonald’s all day surfing free wi fi.
Where the magic happens! Ty for sharing😘
Thank you for showing this. So cool. Great to see what the camera and housing look like. I watch the feed daily. I had no idea that there would be so many kinds of fish at that location. Greetings from Canada.
How is the camera powered? Battery. Or solar?
Neither, a cable containing the data link and power runs the length of the pier back to a structure on land.
@@dc3john829 thanks
No fish were hurt in this production. No fish were SEEN in this production.
The damn thing didn't work I guess because y'all keep on playing the same footage when u try to watch it live .
I'm sorry to hear that. We installed it, not maintained it. I'm sure you can reach out to the city of Deerfield Beach for info.
U r an idiot sir
Nice work John!
how do you see the live stream
There is a link in description.
i went fishing there today
Great Video John.
Thank you for doing this. I watching it almost daily! I love it!!
this is awesome thank you guys for making this happen.
I love the idea but whats the chances of someone snagging onto the camera or any part of the piling harness?
+LowEndFisherman It's on a center piling of a very wide pier. It is pretty impossible for someone to "accidentally" snag it. Either way, it's pretty solid, they would probably just have to cut their line. The local dive shop does a clean up under there once a year to remove all of the junk. My friends and I will be preforming the maintenance to ensure good operation. Thanks for watching!
How deep is the cam
@@elliescamp7209 Depends on the tide but I've heard 10 feet.
It's 10-15 feet under the center of the pier. Not easy to get snagged on but it can happen.
Love it! great job with the #ChiefyCrew
Awesome job baby! I ❤️ you.
Love it.
Awesome job babe! 😍😍
