I love living in the Pacific Northwest and doing (mostly) outdoor things such as catching crayfish, clamming, crabbing, mushroom hunting, and metal detecting. At first I kept quiet about these activities since I didn't want other people to find out and get out there as competition. Over the years, however, I've learned a lot and now I feel it's better to help educate those interested in these activities so they'll know how to do things the right way and help to preserve and advocate for these resources. I'm also a big proponent of having the right gear (I do everything I can to buy US-made equipment) and I'm happy to share that information too.
