The SuperSuckers - Live in Corvallis 1992
This show had Fishwife from San Diego opening followed by Crackerbash, then Drive Like Jehu and the SuperSuckers. The turned off the lights once the started playing. This is just around the release of The Smoke of Hell LP. It was also was Young Dan Bolton's birthday that night. Decent audio even though there's little to no visuals.

Here's the whole Drive Like Jehu set from the X-Ray . I'm not the steadiest camera guy, and the lighting's poor but there's a more than a few gems in here. Look for the whole set from the next night down in Corvallis as well....

Poor lighting in the video, but hey operating the lights at the X-Ray was an audience participation exercise.

Some of the coolest people I knew were from Corvallis. Walking thru you might think you’re in the sticks. But it was a small college town with cool intelligent people. In fact most of Oregon is like that. Every kind of stratum of American culture. See ing a full Drive Like Jehu set with acceptable sound from 92 in Oregon is the tops! Thanks for the upload!
As a Gen X Corno native, I agree!

Corvallis Oregon??
This is the tour I saw them on. Nothing has ever compared to that very first time I put on their first album, not knowing what to expect and hearing -
Rest in Peace, Rick Froberg. Condolences to the rest of the band.
Atom Jack is a perfect song. ❤
I remember that night. I went to this party with Mick Mars and we were looking for babes. We got loaded on methamphetimemes on the way in the car with a windshield cover so the cops wouldnt see the lighter, parked a couple streets over. by the time we hit the party these dudes were playing and we were out of our minds. I had an eight ball of methamphetimemes still and a couple sheets of brown acid. I immediately was blown away by these dudes but Mick was like bro lets book, this is garbage and theres too many schlongs here. I told him, no way man im staying. He got mad cuz i had all the drugs and he caused a scene saying how he was a guitar god and how dare I. I saw him out the corner of my eye pull out his phone and call someone. I paid no attention but that would come back to haunt me forever. Mick Mars flipped me off on his way out the door and was smiling. THese guys killed it and after i went outside and was talking to this babe who said she wanted to eat me out and if i had any drugs, i said yeah for sure babe and thats when all these cops appeared and cheesed me. i quickly ate all the acid i had but couldn't do away with the meths in time and they got me. later i was trippin balls in a cell with all these big beefy dudes and i tried to make nice. I figured Mcdonalds, everyone loves Mcdonalds so i asked a big guy if he thought the guards might bring me a big mac and asked him if he had a favorite Mcdonalds food. He smiled a real big blalck toothed grin and said in Hulk HOgan voice, yeah, I love fresh fish fillet. The other dudes laughed menacingly. I was scared. They meant my butt and they took it soon after....all the while saying how much they love fresh fish fillet. I was trippin horribly. I was told i had a visitor the next day and when i limped out i saw my visitor was Mick Mars. I picked up the phone and he smiled and said I hope you like the guys i paid in your cell....no boby fucks me, nobody fucks Mars. and he started laughing. he goes Mars Out, and slammed the phone down. Im still tripping.
I'm apologize for being so late. Lately it's been this and unwound . Polvo for some reason
I was listening in 1993. I'm still listening in 2023.
Now it's 2024. Upping the ante. Cheers from Tokyo.
2024 brutal band
Thank you for upload this
Great video! Also it is very enjoyable to watch the shadows of the band perform.
This early arrangement and lyrics to “do you compute” are so interesting and amazing I love the song even more. It’s a great raw version. As cool as the one on Yank Crime. Rip Eric Froberg - one of the greatest of all time.
1:43 do you compute? 7:03 hand over fist. 11:06 bullet train to vegas. 13:37 if it kills you. 21:25 human interest. 25:41 good luck in jail. 30:57 clock boy, clock man, clock you. 33:48 spikes to you. 35:37 atom jack.
RIP Rick Froberg. You will be missed.
Best video ever
Man, Supersuckers was here too, that so weird to me, unless im thinking of a different band. My mother's ex back in the day was a huge fan of em
Mark, always with the gloves.
Love it! Classic Stupid Fuckers era! Goddamn they were a blast live. Thanks! The Jehu set from this show is out there too. Worth finding.
Meanwhile mom's upstairs making grilled cheese for everyone.
thanks so much for sharin this, amazing to see.
I saw DLJ in San Francisco in the summer of 1993, at the Cattle Club if I remember well. I did not know them before, I think I picked up a flyer or read about them in SF Weekly. The show was very intense, I still have good memories of the energy. A unique band, if you wish, with a very distinctive sound. Too bad they did not become huge, but who cares? Their music is still exciting.
Yeah, but we got Hot Snakes, which to me is all of the chaos of Jehu reigned in
Weird foursome of bands...Fishwife became Tanner, led by Gar "forgets his insulin" Wood. His next band, was the killer Tanner. Take two-thirds Drive Like Jehu, Gar Wood and one of two great drummers and you have the mighty Hot Snakes. I like em both, but assuming two distinct sets of fans here. Crackerbash was on Empty and more in the 'suckers veins. Who cares, probably a full on kick ass show. I first saw them open for the Dwarves...musta cut the cheese with sub pop, Dwarves had just put out the 18 minute opus, Blood Guts & Pussy and Supersuckers, in spite of the most dangerous (ok, top 4) musical experiences i willingly paid to experience.
FISHWIFE has a really good record but TANNER was amazing!!
Crackerbash were a really, really great live band.
Thank you so much!!!!
Postcard core at its finest.
Postcard 😂🥩
early version of bandages!! solid bass riff to this day

taking notes from this...
ain’t we all
I don't know if this place ever had any other shows, but I was there this night and will never forget it.
Hell yes!
I gotta know where in Corvallis
1) Wipers 2) Dead Moon 3) Crackerbash
This tour was epic. Corvallis in particular.
Sweet clip. Froberg had one the best voices in 90s rock. Like Beastie Boys, but less rap. YEAH!
30 year anniversary coming right around the corner. This guy should invite everyone back to his living room for the anniversary show.
How this band didn’t take over the world beggars belief.
This is amazing footage. Thanks for uploading.

Dirty Dan - legend
If it kills you is such an awesome song
Thanks so much for posting this! I grabbed a beer, put on headphones and was transported to a house party in 1992 complete with annoyingly hilarious jocks being super into it. Such a great band and so awesome to see them in this era.
Are their albums available anywhere like Amazon or Itunes?
Fuckin hell that drummer!!
Yes and yes 2 this day
This footage is fucking incredible mate, bless you for sharing <3

So cool that you got some close shots of the audience. This is one of my top 3 TH-cam videos of all time.
