Could have carried on listening to that indefinitely. Fascinating man. Was very fortunate to have met him once backstage at Wimbledon Theatre after he had played Doctor Who in The Ultimate Adventure. I was with my school club and we were hopelessly star struck. Such a lovely and patient man.

Jon Pertwee was arrogant and narcissistic long before telling the story of how he killed a lion in a car stunt and whining about how hard it was to remove the dead body, what an inhumane idiot, void of compassion for animals, the worst Dr Who and his son, via nepotism is exactly the same.

Is the "Hour with Jon Pertwee" that others have uploaded a cut-down version of this full-length edition?

This book is the SciFi version of Das Boot. Cook is fantastic anf his Starfishers Universe (of which this is a part) is incredible. This would be a great movie. As is. No SJW lecture. Just tell a great story of mind-snapping stress in war.
