Terex Scraper on the site of the M2 extension Ballymena. I think these are the machines previously owned by J Moore that lay in Ladyhill Quarry for a long time.
Aah, good old Detroit sound. But load towards spread area - shortest distance loaded

Why do a 180 AFTER getting loaded? Push in that direction.
I drove one in 1980
The green weenies that's what we called them
Wow brings back memories I was a chain man for Amy construction contract 3 and Taylor Woodrow contract 4 of the A27 brighton and hove bypass and Blackwell was the muck shifter and they had the largest fleet of heavy plant in the UK at that time 1990 -1996 including those huge terex TS 24s , cat D8 , and 9s
Nice video. The sound off the scraper is awesome 👍
Quit using your rear engine till your nearly full.
I love seeing these vids, they remind me of child hood years when I used to watch my dad on jobs driving d8's d9h and pushing the terex ts24's that my brother used to drive all around the country.that was when earthmoving was really earthmoving not like now with all the health and safety crap, and all dumpers and diggers only.it just don't look the same.
THis is enough for the 410hp D9H to push without another dozer to push
goddam! you silly yankeedoodle, the skins in the saddles drank more juice than these ould yokes!!
I've operated the old TS-24 Terex scrapers before and they can haul a shitload of dirt in one pass. The biggest problem is that they drink diesel fuel like a beerdrinker at a football game.
Mine used 280 to 320 gal. A day
I've spent a few thousand hours in TS24's (Cummins engines) & my biggest gripe, aside from them bouncing in the air when laden was the gear change - 1-2, & 2-3 changes were that harsh it would loosen my fillings🤣🤣🤣
@@peterwalley2355 hell our were 10 speed Allison automatic. They would haul ass.
THE PUSH D9 AND D6???
6 were owned by kerrs from scotland and two were ex gibson plant hire
