Ya'll think the stores were bad? the distribution center was worse, management was inexperienced, the morale was horrible, the apathy, bogus write-ups, and toxicity got old. Then they'd try and butter you up with a BS pizza party, or trading extra worked holiday pay with overcooked dry hotdogs and hamburgers! I was there for four years, and management would constantly target those who weren't in the "clique", by that i mean: hand selected primadonnas, know-it-alls, who could commit murder and not even get so much as an occurance. but you had to jump through hoops for them to do anything on your behalf, anything i asked of management took an act of congress! as an orderfiller, you had to literally kill yourself to make when I would turn in downtime for holdups that I couldnt control, they would say "take it to the shipping desk, the desk runners will take care of it, the desk runners told me that they would put it in at the end of the night, and guess what, never did! Resulting in steps and occurances till i got the boot! This place destroyed my peace, messed with my sanity and emotions to where i was bringing black clouds home to my wife and children, i know it sucked losing the job, but i I have never felt so free in my life!!

Now you don't even get holiday pay anymore.

It really depends on management my mangers are really good they help people with promotion goals. They are helping me on my goal to become a people partner. Market management likes me too. Thanks giving and Christmas we are off.

Im a month in as a stocking associate 1 TA, so far im just floating around in any department, I've worked in the toy aisle, grocery, dairy, infants, juice, freezers, pets, paper towels and party cups, chemicals, meat and beauty...i also dont have a work phone and use my personal phone to topstock using the me@walmart app which drains a third of my battery by the 3rd hour 🫡 so im annoying my manager by asking her every day about the work phone and all she keeps telling me is no not yet. Some of my coworkers are friendly and likeable and some are just way too serious and zombified they dont even say good morning back to you or will walk past by you as if you dont exist 😂 thats Walmart for yall but yeah ive also encountered the dum dum customers and oh LORD Its the worst thing and i try so hard not to stoop down their level because its not worth it. It truly varies because sometimes i get approached by nice customers and are very kind towards me and in return i give them excellent customer service. My TL doesnt really give a damn about anything and is really chill but i dk if its a good or bad thing i mean he does vizpicks and i go ahead and take the pallet and unload it an L cart or top stock cart. At this point since im not really assigned to any department I dont mind helping out other departments who ask for my help.

I work overnight maintenance and am the only one who cares if anythjng is clean I also do all of the fresh cleaning, when they feel like it they make me zone all night and after 13 isles end caps and action alley and am shot one aisle at end of shift Im yelled at for unproductivity, ONE aisle out of 16 or more....as soon as I find equal doesnt even have to be better just equal pay Im OUT

Thanks for mentioning when we work holidays we do NOT make time and a half, not for one single holiday. If we are scheduled and donr show we earn 2 points but if we show up we arent offered any reward at all

I’m watching this after dropping off an order and getting a flat tire. I tired to change if but the nuts are on there tight. I’m in a community of McMansions and ppl just looked but no one and I mean absolutely no one checked on me, they just looked. But I live on the east coast, so someone could be in distress and folks will just keep moving alone. Didn’t make my goal at all and now I’m in the whole for this tire and I have to work my regular job tomorrow. So, now I have to go really hard for the rest of the month. What a ishshow today.

I've been with the company for a little over 2 years now, I work at a Neighborhood Market. At the beginning of 2024 we got a new store manager and everything has changed for the worst. People are getting coached and terminated for the pettiest things, pto is getting rejected due to coverage even though management tells us that we're fine with staff. Store morale is very low and now people are starting to quit. The other night my team lead told me that our people lead asked him why our overnight crew has such high turnover 🤦. I've been tuned out lately and am on my last leg. I'm pretty close to telling my people lead to take me off the schedule, that I'm done.

Worst job I ever had

I worked at Walmart on Cap 2, and it was a complete nightmare. There is a serious homeless issue at my Walmart and I was attacked after my shift. I ended up getting a concussion and a fractured collar bone. The company fired my because I kicked the attacker off of my calling it employee violence since it happened on their property. The sad thing is no one tried to help me. I was so relieved to be let go from that he'll hole.

I worked at infants department more than 20 years ago. I quit after 1 year because Dept. manager has no leadership skills, I worked with many Hispanic employees who takes loooong breaks and no one noticed but me. I asked for pay raise because I found out that new hire girl was making more than me. I don’t recommend to anyone to work for Walmart, it’s a JOB not a career.

I quit walmart only after 4 years after covid pandemic. My store got worse and knew I needed to leave.

I work there and been there for six years, but last year i was laid off for five months. This year i am now laid off again.
