This story seemed to be rushed. So many details were lacking to make it interesting. Maybe you can add more chapters to clarify the characters and the crisis on the planet? The illustration were a little less accurate too.

There still logical fallacies in the story, became too much. Humans had hundreds of fleets, and then they go equal footing to the enemy? lol.nope

Story could do with some editing. Some chapters are repeated slightly different way. Also, as with all these types of certain often repeat words. Eg resilience, ingenuity, prowess, hub.

Great short story.!🤓😁👍👍😯😧😮🤗😬😬 ( please pardon the excessive use of Emojis) Such a quick combining of different entities into one more powerful force seems unlikely but it served this tale well.!!!🤔😳😲😬🙄 I thoroughly enjoyed this story and the idea that a combination of forces enriches both participants greatly. If we EVER actually quit fighting among ourselves and unite in unity to access the stars I would TRULY HOPE that we would take this attitude with aliens humans encounter.!!! I would TRULY HATE to see the way we belittle aliens humans on this planet. Treating them as a scourge and less thens and merely throwing them scraps instead of combining ALL of the abilities of both sides to create a homogenous improvement for all.!!!!! You just had to throw in the "sustainability" crap. In a real world, there is nothing that is not recyclable, whatever sustainable really means in societal ideology is ambiguous at best. It's a word bandied about to create a huge cash flow for actions and ideas that may or may not fit the definition. EV's for example, nothing about them is truly sustainable. The energy required to built them, the efficiency running them is higher than any other vehicle. The toxicity in the fabrication of the batteries to the disposal of those batteries is horrendous, yet somehow is sugarcoated to be acceptable.
