That’s fair. I think it has a lot to do with the removal of the original game, the proposed story modes that happened happened, and the fact some people find it fun and easy to pick on Blizzard these days.

@gnittwitt very true, I have the original game on disc so I didn't know they've removed it and it is also full of sweats and hackers and try hards and it is essentially the same as the first game so I guess I somewhat get where people come from but overall I enjoy playing but I think had they gone the single player story driven route they'd be a lot more successful because the story behind the in-game world and characters is actually so cool, such a shame that they didn't pursue that because like I said had they done the single player story driven route the game would be a lot better and they'd be a lot more successful

Hey I appreciate you explaining your thoughts and enjoyment of the game. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with liking Overwatch 2, I just think the perception isn’t on the side of the game and hasn’t for some fine. I also don’t care for hero shooters in general but if I were to play one it would probably be Overwatch 2 anyways and (from what I have seen so far) definitely not Concord.

XDefiant sucks and I haven’t even played call of duty since the MW 1 reboot.

I wrote a reasonable but negative review of dying light 2 on steam and one of the devs reached out to me asking for feedback on why I liked 1 over 2. I didn’t bother to respond because 2 was so bad I lost trust in their ability to salvage a good game from it.

Season 3 was the worst season yet. I haven't tried the new seasonal content and I'm playing pretty slowly because I got some other games I'm playing too. Still working on a level 71 sorcerer but I'm having an absolute blast.

I definitely made it further in Elden Ring than I did the Dark Souls games. Dark Souls is hard! It’s like the Dark Souls of video games.

That’s a great answer those bosses are no joke and Armstrong is an absolute menace. Also it can be hard to keep grinding out a boss battle when there’s so much dialog to sit through too.

I think it’s good. Big AAA gaming companies like Square Enix deserve consistent criticism and scrutiny because of how much power and influence they have in the gaming industry.

And even when Square Enix puts out good games they fail to meet their sales expectations. Something has got to give.

It’s probably not the same thing but I did play that Tom Clancy’s End War RTS.

I always meant to play a Luigi’s Mansion game. Have you ever played that Rainbow Six Extraction game?

The only Zelda game I have really played is Breath Of The Wild. Do you play the Wii or GameCube version of twilight princess?

I think those games are great examples especially due to their pick up and play nature. And I think it’s a real testament to their legacy, especially Tetris, that so many people would pick those games to replay over and over again. I could have made this same sort of video just on different versions of Tetris, it really is the greatest game of all time. However I disagree that only games “back then” were designed for people to have fun. There are many notorious examples of gross, lazy cash grabs including licensed games, as well as arcade titles with unique mechanics designed to suck as much money out of someone as possible. If the argument is that focused and straightforward games are more effective at being replayable I can definitely understand that. But to suggest having fun is not a design focus in games today is a hard idea to accept.

No way that’s crazy, man. I’ve been trying to keep score on games mentioned in the comments across social media on this video and you’re official the second person I have seen mention FF8. I gotta check it out one of these days.

I have really enjoyed my time with it and it’s been awesome to see other people having a blast with it now. It shouldn’t have taken them so long to make it right, but I’m glad they did.

It feels like Falliut 76 has had a Cyberpunk 2077, Final Fantasy 14, or No Man's Sky-esue resurgence. I haven't played a ton with other people but I really appreciate the donation stations. Those have been a big help.

I think in a world where a lot of live service games feel like mini mmo's it's almost like the rest of the world caught up to what Fallout 76 was trying to do while the game itself continued to improve and build upon its rocky launch.

@gnittwitt I owned the first one, played through twice on the first and second difficulty to level my character. Friend down the road had the sequel so I borrowed it and uploaded my character to the second one and did maybe 2/3 playthrough until he asked for it back and then I never got to play it again. I haven't gamed for years but I'm sure there has to some way to make it look better out there, or just live through the classic on a tube TV 😅
