​@@sam_jams i would be curious about your tone set up. You have a real nice deep tone while its still very articulate in the highs and not lost in the mix. I can see that you have both pick ups both maxed with tone half off for that deep bits. Sounds pretty clean beyond that. Maybe some compression? Anything funky going on beyond this?

I'm running the bass through a Sansamp with bass and mids boosted slightly and treble cut about a third. Then running that into an Ampeg SVT sim with similar EQ settings. Some minimal compression in the final mix, and that's pretty much it. Nothing special.

@@sam_jams thanks for the info mate. I've been trying to put my tones in order over the last few weeks (mostly slap and wah stuff). And this kind of clean jazz tone has been missing in my repertoir. Thanks a bunch :3

Learning the instrument can take as little as a few weeks to a couple months, everybody’s different. There are so many aspects of learning from technique to tone to articulation etc that the learning never stops. Just gotta enjoy the journey and have fun with it
