Love Zoom baits been ripping lips with the June bug finesse worm rigged every which way since I was young.

Just don't touch the reel handle nobody with oil for soft plastic will damage them and turn soft and the hand knobs will won't to fall off. That oil has done that to 3reels I will never touch soft plastic and touch my reel's again...

I got the Ozark trail OTX baitcaster 8 bearing $11.89. IV been used on ugly stick catfish $17.99 casting rod medium heavy powder moderate action rod. With only one back leash 😜 it has been top notch for me. Just keep the sand and dirt out of the reel and is as smooth as it was 8 months ago. I've Got so much catfish on it so far. For $30.00 only best combo I own. Well two separate things for a combo for catfish and Bass fishing because spinner and chatter bait works great.

I will argue till I'm dead that the abu garcia blackmax paired with a daiwa airdx in either medium or medium heavy casting is the best combo. You can find both on sale/ discount and they're both very cheap. You can always get the other power for other techniques further down the line and the reel can handle it, not everything but most techniques.

Shimano sellus paired with pfluger trion spinning set up. Under 100 and pretty darn good.

Got a 30 series Phflueger with the 66 ml AIRD X and caught a 29" BullRed on my 1st cast. She handled it great. I had 7 footer AIRD X rods & 1 sat out here in the S Texas heat for 2yrs & I just wiped it down & started fishing with it again & it's like new. Diawa makes great rods & now reels

Great picks guys! My favs for this time of year are a swim jig, underspin, and a fluke. The fluke is great because for me the water is too cold for fish to eat topwater but they'll still feed up and hit that fluke. Finesse hair jigs are sneaky good too once the water gets in the 40s. In NY we really only have 2-3 weeks left of bass fishing
