I may not be the best at everything, but I will definitely try my best. This channel will be record of our journey trying to reach our goal of moving from our city lives in Miami-Dade, FL to an offgrid homestead.
For my kids, there is more to the story but this is the work and effort it took to get to where we are now. We started in Miami and now we're building our Homestead. Remember to appreciate those that support you and don't take the gifts given to you for granted. Your emotions may not always be right, so make sure to think through how you act. I will do my best to do the same.

Joye Tries to Build a Pond
มุมมอง 18128 วันที่ผ่านมา
I am super excited to finish this pond. For the future, I will try to put more effort into making a pond big enough to house at least 10 Koi fish. They are awesome. The best thing to do for a future pond build is to add a pond skimmer and have the pond pump take water through the skimmer. I am happy with the waterfall stream, but there is much to improve in that area. Next time, the waterfall w...

Yes, we did destroy the home. In our defense, Mrs. Gobblingston left a few weeks ago and hasn't returned to the area. There is no sight of her. If you happen to see a female turkey wandering around, she has dementia so safely lead her to the nearest bus stop so she can make it home. It will probably help if you send her off with some Taro boba tea and a bowl of udon. Maybe a side of french frie...

I'm cleaning up the front driveway of all the wood I've managed to collect but never stored. This is just one item on a list of things I need to complete in order to sell (or rent) my house and move to the country. Comment if you have any questions and I'll try to get back to you as soon as I can. Hope you guys are having a great productive day!

What a beautiful cup of coffee
Awesome video, I've got to try and convince my wife to let me do something like this
Thank you! It's honestly a great investment for the soul. It's beneficial to the animals outside and a nice peaceful spot to let your mind wander
I love harbor freight, i think i was 31 before i bought anything from them. I believed all the memes out there about their quality, and true there's some quality issues, but they stand by their products, and for the most part their quality is fine
@@Mocking_Beard I feel the same way. The quality seems fine for the most part. Maybe some items aren't great.
welcome to the harbor freight group its a mans candy store. take care and have a wonderful day

Open space around a unidirectional propeller... not mich science to it
Everything is science if you think about it enough
Look like it filters lot of stuff.
It really does, theres a lot then dander floating around from the pups
There's a design w/4 filters and a fan on top that I would like to try. The design gives room for good air flow and a little more filteration.
Yes! I saw that design. I was thinking of making one myself out of pallets I have and painting it to look like a side table. There's definitely potential to make that design blend to anyone's taste.
@@TryItJoye That's a good idea! I had a similar thought with making some kind of frame to allow any kind of filter and to be able to simply change the filters when needed. I'd be interested in seeing what you come up with if you decide to go with your idea.
0:30 Harakiri, but seppuku is the more formal term 0:45 Sounds like a great guy 1:08 I've been down the fountain pen rabbit hole for about 2 years. It really goes deep, let me tell ya.. and the choice of inks is another monster. 1:35 Former chemist turned IT sysadmin. Life takes you down interesting paths eh? 4:30 That is what we call "ink burping" it can happen on planes. Not many things you can do about it, either empty your pen, or try to keep the pen nib-up for the whole duration of the flight. Burping happens when the air inside the ink reservoir forces the ink outside because of the pressure difference. A tip that helped me get over the fear of transporting my pens around, get yourself a good pen case. I use a Lamy case that holds 3 pens. My Montblanc 146 <F>, a vintage Waterman Gentleman <B>, and a Pilot 742 <MS>. Want to see something awesome, look up fountain pen music nibs. That's <MS>. Btw, at the end there when I wrote <B>road, I meant 'broad'. A western medium is like a Japanese broad. My bad.
Hey! You're back! Thanks for watching man 🤙
Why would you have a husky in such a hot climate. Borderline animal abuse.
Well actually, huskies are known for being able to adapt to their environment. The top coat repels water, sunlight and UV rays, the undercoat keeps them insulated keeping them cool from the heat. Like any dog they sometimes get hot but so long as they're not outside 24/7 or for extended periods of time in the heat they're completely fine.
Why borderline? It's practically beating them with a stick. Like having them chained to a tree. Stepping on their toes and not saying sorry while hugging them. Reach for the stars Nick.
As an Alaskan, that poor baby, I hope your next home is more forgiving to him 😅
We talk about him running in the snow all the time. Thank you for your comment!
I love husky so much ❤. Hope he gets what he wants. I have a funny story about a husky in my neighborhood.
The husky story was the time me and my brother were bike riding and we heard very loud screaming. We rode across the neighborhood and finally found the source. We though someone was in danger but it was a husky yelling at another dog 🤣

That's a beautiful butterfly!!! And the crow is so funny 😂😂
Such an eye sore and way to loud compared to an actual air purifier
We hide it away when guests come over bc it really is pretty disgusting
I mean as long as air is moving *through* the filter ig it works 🤷♂️
True Dat!
That… that’s not how air filters work my man. Fans just blow air around lmao air filters are to keep particulates and debris from recirculating in your hvac. You’re not cleaning any air by strapping one to a fan😂
At least his fan won't be dusty.. oh wait! 😂
Collecting dog hair isn't cleaning the air lmao. I don't think he thinks he's cleaning the air. Doubt its pulling much air through the filter though, making it less effective for sure.
I don't think you understand the mechanics behind an air filter and a fan my good sir
Looks deeeeliiiiicchioousss
Cool❤❤❤
Thank you!
Goulet is pronounced “goo-lay” and company is owned by Brian and Rachel Goulet and is in Virginia! I absolutely depend on their videos and I just bought this pen last year and love it! I use the con-40 converter which came with the pen. Favorite ink for it is Diamine Burgandy Royale, as my pen is the Burgandy version. This pen just writes so smoothly. I got the Fine nib. Highly recommend this pen! You have a wonderful friend!
I just got one of these. Frankly, it’s a freaking lovely pen. It’s the size of a little baby pen, but posted it suddenly grows up to an adult. It’s light as heck, and so comfortable to write with. My only complaint is the ink capacity. I am hand writing a novel for my own personal pleasure, and let’s us just say the ink bottle is never far away. 😂 It’s a Sherlock Holmes novel, so a fountain pen seemed like the appropriate choice.
Let me know when you're done with the novel, I'll order a copy!
Gift me a fountain pen brother , i will write amazing with that , and remember you every time , whenever i will use that and thankyou ❤
Thanks

14 karat, aka 58.5% gold, hence .585. Interestingly, with pens while there is a gold vs steel difference, once gold it isn't like more gold is necessarily better, just depends on what they're trying to achieve and/or marketing.
That's not recycling, that's called reusing....😂😂😂
Hello! Afficionado here. First of all congrats! It's not just a very nice pen, you got yourself one of the best fountain pens out there, and one of my personal "grail pens". Let's take it from the top, please don't take any of these as offensive, just constructive: 1:08 It's pronounced "goo-lay", the company's run by Brian and Rachel Goulet, awesome people, you can find a butt-ton of videos from them on YT on their official channel; 1:30 The Pilot Metro is an excellent entry-level pen, and I'm thrilled that you enjoy writing with it; 1:50 Iroshizuku is generally considered a top-tier ink in general, not only in Pilot's lineup. It's notoriously well behaved and personally Take-Sumi is my favourite shade of black. Parker is dependable but for my 2 cents, it's comparing Hondas to Jaguars; 3:20 Yes, there is a pretty heavy price tag on this pen, but it's well worth it. After using it for a while you'll understand; 4:30 Pucker factor 100; 4:50 Yes, 585 is 14K gold. The nib is gold, but the tip of the nib is reinforced with a wear-resistant metal. It's either iridium or ruthenium, it's standard practice to reinforce the tip on all nibs, whether gold or steel. The difference you'll feel is in the springiness of the nib. There are very few steel nibs that even come close to the feeling of writing with gold; 6:00 Converter. It's called a converter. You don't dip IT in the ink. You dip the nib of the pen so it's submerged in ink, and then draw the ink through the nib, it saturates the feed all the way up to the converter. Your method is... I mean it gets the job done, but come on. Part of the zen is taking a paper towel and wiping off the excess ink after a fill. Plus, doing it your way means you have to wait for the ink to make its way through the feed, to the tip. 9:40 Yup, that's the way it's intended to be used, capped. Or to use the correct term, "posted". 9:50 Pucker factor 1000. Do NOT jab your nib into, or close to a hard surface. Seriously, don't. If you absolutely must, put the cap back on the pen. Or draw a few dry lines to coax the ink out. Or just be patient for a few minutes. 10:15 Remember, this is a fountain pen. It uses capillary action to put ink on paper. Meaning 2 things: It can write under its own weight, just pull it along the surface and the ink flows. You do not/should not put so much pressure on the nib when writing. It may have been the mic's fault, but that ther felt like you were stabbing through the paper. One of the biggest downsides of writing with ballpoints, people these days are used to pushing down hard when writing. At least relative to how hard you need to for a fountain pen. Pens are better from this perspective, as your wrist will hurt a lot less after a long session. Fun fact to close it off, you have there an <F> nib, which means Fine line width. This is a Japanese pen, and their standard <F> is a lot thinner than western sizes, due to their alphabet. A German Bock <M>edium nib for example, would be equivalent to a Japanese Pilot <B>road nib, or a bit more. Tell your friend he's a great friend.
You sir, have mastered the art of constructive criticism. I'm sure I will cringe in the future when I learn more about fountain pen etiquette and re-watch this video. Thank you!
Thanks for educating him a bit. This pen, or marvel of design and culture, deserves a bit of love. Otherwise, buy a standard pen, you'll wear it out within months needing, but not willing, to pay for a nibmeister to repair any damage done to it.
Those are some cute WW's

Go to a trophey shop and they can make a bronze placard in that size to say whatever you want...the sofa brand, Joe's Seat, whatever. Stick it on, done.
That is so genius. I need to see how much that costs!
@@TryItJoye it shouldn't be that much. Probably less than you paid for that kit.
Maybe you could just place tape in collor on both sides of couch, so it looks like it came that way from factory, l would place maybe dark brown tape on the whole top of that couch (area that you painted but till the end)
I'm noticing most everyone had a better idea than I did lol
