Heck yeah!! A good way to repurpose a vehicle that's not worth fixing up to run the road. Or one that's on its last leg. Sometimes, there are 20+ cars in the field for this class.

I'm not the one driving, I just film the races. I'm not sure if it's a requirement or not. I'm not really familiar with the track rulebook or anything.

@@bethanymace4101 it might not be required, but it is a really good idea. In case of a fire, you don't want burnt hands

No worries, I'm glad you asked. The track is 3/8 mile. This was an open practice, so he could've been trying different gears, setups, etc. I don't drive the car. I'm just a cameraman. I wish I could answer your question better. He is a front runner every week. I do know that.

@@keyracing Thanks for the reply. There's always a lot of variables involved in pretty much any type of racing. In my division, we have a gear rule, and one track, is 3/8, and the other that we run is 4/10. Same gear, both tracks, and at the 3/8 track, (Hickory Speedway) it always feels as if a point or two more gear would be nice, and at the other track, it feels pretty good. This SS car in your video, sounds like it's got a little more motor than our cars do, that always helps!
