Snowdrops Pullover Tutorial!
มุมมอง 326หลายเดือนก่อน
This tutorial walks you through the lace of the Snowdrops Pullover, the increases used and how to manage the markers through the raglan yoke. It is especially helpful for working the lace on the WS (i.e. on purl rows) when doing the short rows at the beginning of the yoke and for understanding how to move the lace markers in between the lace panels. Crochet Pescador Beanie Light video tutorial by Nomad Stitches
I'm a little confused. This is the same as overlay crochet and it can definitely be worked flat. Have you tried?
Hi! It is very similar to overlay crochet but with a few differences. And yes, it can be worked flat but you have to cut the yarn at the end of every row, which is something that I mention in the video.
❤❤❤❤
xx
Hello how many did you chain to start with pls ? So that it ends up like the one you showed :-)
Hi! I am not sure, you can see in the pattern on my blog. It will depend a lot on the hook/yarn that you are using.
👍👍👍👍👍
Great tutorial I love the stitch. Thank you for explaining it so well.
Glad it was helpful! x
Where can I get this and what is the price for the whole set .for granddaughter
Hi! You should look in the Kintpro website, but you can also get it on amazon here: amzn.to/4bcCCaZ
I was interested but you went too fast from your foundation row. I was lost after that. Sorry.
I am sorry you felt like it went to fast. It might help watching it first, then rewatching and pausing it as you go! x
My pattern doesn't say which stitch to use for the gauge. The stitches used throughout the pattern are single crochet and half double crochet. How do I select which stitch to use for the gauge? Thank you, Sandra.
Hi! It's annoying when that happens but I myself have made that mistake! I would use whatever is the predominant stitch pattern, focusing on the body. So if it's alternating sc and hdc rows, then alternate on the swatch too! Or if the body is hdc but sleeves or edgings in sc, then so only hdc for your swatch. Hope this helps! x
¡Me gusta mucho el suéter, "Teotihuacan'! Gracias por esta presentación.
Un gusto!! x
Great session. Thank you for the inspiration. Love your designs!
AH! You are so welcome! And thank YOU!x
Wow block b4 the body. I'm going to try that b4 doing the sleeves
Definitely! It gives you a better idea of the fit of the yoke!
Very informative video. Thanks!
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you for this video. I’ve been a crocheter for years but have recently picked up knitting and this makes so much more sense to me now!
Glad it was helpful!
I’m making my very first garment for my son and it’s Sandra’s Workwear Jumper. I’m enjoying it. It’s been a great way for me to learn a lot of new things. I’ve probably spent more time frogging than making progress but I’m bound and determined so not giving up. 😊
Wonderful! Frogging is absolutely part of the process!!
I love your sweater!
Thank you! It's the Cande Pullover and it's probably my most worn make!
Hi, this is a cool stitch, thanks for sharing! How do you do decreases with this stitch?
I actually have another video that goes over increases and decreases. But you basically just go over 2 sts instead of one and then go through all of the loops in one go! Super easy
Would love to know what pattern the hat is that she is wearing in the picture on the link in your email to the video!
OOh, this is what she says on her instagram: You can now find the Alexis Floppy Hat, as well as the David Striped Sweater as kits on the Lion Brand Yarn website where you'll receive all of the yarn and the pattern sent straight to you!
Wow, I had no idea that your amount of patterns is so extensive! You are one of my most favourite designers!
Ah! Thank you!! Yes, I have over 100 published patterns!
WOW!! Inspiring! I’m going to save this!
Please do!
They’re all so cute!
thank you!!
Should the swatch be only 10cm or it can be done with 5cm? Is there a reason why it seems most patterns are 10x10?
5 cm is not a big enough space to give you a clear idea of how the fabric will react. In fact 10x10 is still too small. The measurement considers what inside a 10x10 square, but my rule of thumb is that a swatch should be at least 15x15 cm or 6x6 in to make sure you have a good idea of how the fabric will react. You can measure inside 5 cm, but your swatch really needs to be big enough. Hope this helps!
@@NomadStitches ok thank you!
This was great! I hadn't known at all about the 2-row Mosaic crochet until I was reading through your beautiful book Colorful Crochet Knitwear, which explains very well, but I could not understand where the double crochet is hooked into - what part of the stitch. It is so helpful to see it done. Thank you!
You are so welcome! I had no idea either until I started looking into it more. I love them both!!
So much inspiration, thank you!
Thanks for watching!
It was so lovely and interesting listening to your chat together - thank you to you both! 😊
Glad you enjoyed it!
Lena, you did really well and I loved watching you on this video! ❤ I learned a lot and will be looking at your creations. You are so beautiful!
Thank you so much for watching! Glad you enjoyed it. x
This was so fun 😊
Ah! I'm glad you enjoyed it! I had a great time chatting to Lena!
Thank you for this video. I really like the way you explain it.
I'm glad you enjoyed it! x
Seems pretty straightforward. The knitting charts are not too different from crochet charts.
They're the same! It's only the Xs that we add to make them work for crochet!
❤❤❤0❤

I have often used the foundation sc for the chain and first row combined. I will definitely be trying this. Overall, I have been finding your work unique and I love learning new things-especially when they look so neat!
Thank you! I do like doing Fsc but I find that the chain part of the st can be a bit sloppy sometimes (probably the way I make them!), but that's not the case with the crochet cord. I seriously love it!
Seria lindo que pusiera los subtitulos en español seria de mucha ayuda para las personas que no sabemos ingles 💐

Crocheting is my copping mechanism. There were times I wasn't able to. My anxiety, depression, trauma induced triggers increased. IE, my mental health suffered.
YES!! Totally. I feel the same whenever life gets too much and on top of that I don't have time to crochet!
Love the colours and the sweet little sounds in the background 😁
Great!
Hope you're in! x
ooh is this chunky or super chunky yarn?
It's Bulky weight, which I guess can also be called chunky. (size 5 in the craft yarn council standards!)
Love it so much, but hate knitting😢
😂 I get totally get it!

Thank you Linda...from Seattle, Washington, USA!!
Thanks for listening
Do the numbers and patterns on the needles wear off over time?
They are laser engraved, so no. At least no changes that I have seen so far!
thank you so much for this video! ive been crocheting a few years but dont really follow patterns and id never heard of short rows in crochet until today, this video is invaluable for my learning and teaching myself 😁
Glad it was helpful! I LOVE short rows!!
A question about this, when I do short rows like this it doesn't look like the rest of my stitches for the sweater since I'm turning the piece back and forth. Is there a way to do it so that the short row stitches look like the sweater stitches?
That's a great question! Usually, whenever I work short rows like this I tend to do the whole garment with rows that alternate between RS and WS. If it's in the round, then I just turn at the the round. When I can't do this, like when working tapestry or mosaic crochet, then I will just make it a part of the design and use a contract color or a color that matches the neckline. Alternatively, you can always work them by cutting your yarn after everyone and just moving a little bit further on each end every time. Hope that makes sense!
