I could get a car within a week because I have the money. And yes, it was expensive since I didn’t have a credit score at the time, but I didn’t want to drive an old car - because I can afford it. My earlier content wasn’t a reflection of how comfortably we live here; it was aimed at helping newcomers. I don’t share how well we’re actually doing. We live below our means, and for the record, my spending is way below my stop-loss level as a trader. Nursing is just my part-time job.

I was earning same as a travel nurse for a year. I breached my contract as an angency nurse within a year, paid it off in cash, and traveled for a year. Then, I stopped traveling to focus on my children's welfare, spend time with them, and travel, attend more taylor swift concerts and other concerts. I’m still working as a per diem nurse, and we've been in the U.S. for less than three years. You don't need 3-4 years to be comfortable living here, Nursing is not the only way to earn a good income.

Sorry to disagree with you, dami akong kilala na mga RN sa USA mga asensado dahil mataas ang kita, imagine the pay is hourly, lalo na yung mga medyo matagal na at sa california pa.even not in california, their lives have been way way far from their life in Pinas as a nurse. Lalo na yong pareho RN na mag asawa, no need for overtime., unless marami kang resposibilities.Sa california almost 1million pesos ang sahod per nurse per month.

Ok. Well, I live here, I am nurse. You know nurses, I work with them and know them too. It's just enough. Unless you do overtime and yes if you and your partner are working. My wife is a nurse too.

My priority are my kids and family. That's why I stopped working fulltime.

@@NurseGringo well it’s your choice, but yong mga kilala ko, they work full time while medyo young pa, para maka ipon. Well to each is own. Ang nurse yata sa US sabi nila, pag nasa state k n medyo mababa yung house at COL, mababa din yung sahod. Sa cali daw, mahal ang mga bhay, pero mataaas din ang sahod. At maraming work opportunities, daw.

Nasa USA po ba kayo? I've been here for almost 3 years now. I know those things. Nurse's salary here is just enough kahit sa Cali ka pa or sa ibang state. Salary is based on prevailing wages. Kung di ka mag overtime tama lang ang kikitain mo. In my case I don't need to do full time nursing coz I am earning more than what I am earning as a nurse in my gigs. I am still doing per diem nursing for benefits and the employer I have now is one of the best health system in the country.

@@NurseGringo buti at pier diem ka lng at may benefits. Pagkakaalam ko ang pier diem mataas ang hourly rate kasi wala silang benefits. They pay their own medical, dental insurance, etc. at pagkakaalam ko magandang employer yong VA Hosp, County and State Hosp, kasi government. Pero ang nkakadagdag ng hourly rate ng mga RN ay yong differential like night differential . Yung ibang hosp 20% of base pay. Since these Hosps are in cali, and these RN’s have been working for 15-20 yrs their hourly base pay are on the $120’s, by the way. Not newbies pla. Maybe pagtumagal k n ng ganoon at sa california ka. Kaya maraming umaalis sa east coast at lumilipat sa california dahil sa nurse to pt ratio, may union at mataas ang hourly rate lalo na sa San Francisco bay area.

Kaya lng matagal kumuha ng license dhil marami ang nag aapply.
