Good points but yoga nidra is not technically meditation. It's a type of pratyahara technique while meditation is supposed to be dhynana. In yoga nidra, the idea is to detach all senses from all physical perception while meditation typically involves stabilizing mind to a single focal point.
It is a pratyahara practice indeed, but is it only that? Does it only internalise the senses? It builds awareness, brings deep relaxation, helps us witness our thoughts, and makes us feel alert and centered afterwards. In many ways it is also a meditative practice.

Respected madam can we do lying on the bed?
Ideally Yoga nidra is done in lying down position but anapana sati is done in seated. You can use back support if its difficult to sit. But if nothing else works, yes you can lay down for the practice.

அற்புதம். நல்ல தூக்கம் உடனே கிடைக்கிறது. ஆடியோவை முழுவதும் கேட்டதேயில்லை. பாதியிலேயே உறக்கம் வந்து விடுகிறது. ஒரு சிறு திருத்தம் கால் முட்டிக்கு அடுத்ததாக ஆட்டுச்சதை என்று சொல்லுகிறீர்கள். அதை ஆடுதசை என்று சொல்ல வேண்டும். அல்லது கெண்டைக்கால் தசை என்று சொல்ல வேண்டும்.
