Bicycle GoPro Crash
Don't worry... nobody was hurt. My GoPro got a few dings on it though. I didn't crash my bicycle, I crashed my GoPro. I mounted it on a cheap, non-authentic mount that I got from eBay and it fell apart, allowing the camera to tumble off in a busy interchange. Instinctively, I scooped down and grabbed my GoPro before a car ran over it though.

Rescuing Ducks From Derelict Fishing Net
มุมมอง 1232 ปีที่แล้ว
While I was out for a run, I discovered two ducks that were trapped in a derelict fishing net that was strung across Silver Creek. I couldn't just let them die. It may have been a small gesture, but it meant everything to those ducks.
I Have A Baby In My Tummy

Apparently, I have a baby in my tummy. For some reason, Lexi (my granddaughter) thinks I have a baby in my tummy because I am wearing a belt? I have no idea where she came up with that. She's a few months short of being 3 years old.

Last Christmas (Parody)
มุมมอง 1133 ปีที่แล้ว
I had this silly idea come to me many years ago, but didn't do anything with it. So... during the night before Christmas Eve, I thought I would go ahead and throw this music video together. The only music bed I had to work with was some cheesy MIDI file I downloaded from the Internet about 25 years ago.
River Washout!
มุมมอง 943 ปีที่แล้ว
Running along the Nooksack River Trail between Marine Drive and Slater road, I discovered a major washout. This is one of my favorite running routes, but I don't know when it will be brought back to normal. There has been a lot of flood damage in our community.

I was out riding my bicycle on the trails with my granddaughter when a bug flew into my mouth. If you look really closely, you can actually see a bug flying in front of the screen at about 00:23, although I don't know if it is THE bug though.

Pulling Nails Without Heads

This is how you pull nails that have the heads popped off when there is a little bit of the nail shank sticking out. There has to be enough sticking out to grip with pliers. This is most helpful for demolition or remodeling.
Slipping on the Ice - Twice!
มุมมอง 603 ปีที่แล้ว
I went out for a run in the snow, wearing my big clompy boots. As long as I stuck to the soft snow, I was fine but if I ventured onto the pavement where the snow was packed into ice, it was super slippery. I found that out the hard way. It's okay - you can laugh at my expense. Perspective was from a GoPro on a vest.
Branch Falls Out of Tree and Almost Hits Me
มุมมอง 344 ปีที่แล้ว
I was out running on the Nooksack River Trail in Marietta. It was rainy and the ground was muddy, so I slipped and almost fell. I took a few seconds to walk and recover from slipping and get my balance again, but just then a branch fell out of a tree. If my run had not been interrupted by slipping, I would most likely have been hit by the branch. Sorry for the poor quality of the video. It was ...
Chelsea Crashes Bicycle
มุมมอง 1644 ปีที่แล้ว
I went out on a bicycle ride with Chelsea along the river. After we stopped and got back on our bikes, I heard what sounded like a crash behind me. I turned around to see her on the ground. She told me she realized the handlebars were backwards, so she thought it would be a good idea to turn them around... while she was riding. Apparently, that wasn't a good idea after all. Chelsea was uninjure...

Ugh, even when you destroy a fucking fire alarm, it looks like an abomination against creation, the chips make them look like they are the mutant abomination spawn of a cockroach and Skynet. Thank you for some catharsis. I had a fire detector become absolutely useless and this video inspired me to take revenge against it for sleepless nights ruined by its incessant beeping. Also a tip for others, use a sledgehammer like Dean here or get a full steel cast hammer, the weight really does wonders for destroying these nuisances.

Every time I see one of these blackening videos they always use metal channellocks or needle nose pliers to pick up the piece being blackened. Then they say "be careful not to scratch it" Lol. I'd use kitchen tongs with silicone ends/tips, with steel handles. Just a recommendation to prevent any scratches and achieve a better result. Hope this helps. Thanks.

Put objects in oven max temp, once they're at temp they'll look straw color, quickly take one out with pliers and heat it up with torch to blue ands then quench in oil . Repeat for each objects. Especially most useful when you do several objects at the same time, and doing more complex objects (-with thin, and thick parts) that could heat up too unevenly by using a blowtorch from the start . That way you won't use up your torches and it's much faster when you do several items in a batch.

I feel bad for that FireX FADC smoke alarm that you smashed and killed with that sledgehammer. I know it’s really annoying when they go off nonstop but with me I NEVER smash smoke alarms. I also know of people that hit smoke alarms with brooms until they fall off the ceiling. Instead I do the right thing and replace mine if I find any issues with mine or if they are over 10 years old.

This video was done before iPods became obsolete. Honestly, I never even use my iPod anymore since I have literally my entire music library on my phone and that has blu tooth capability. This wasn't the best quality video either (poor camera angle), so my apologies... I'm not planning to redo it though. I still have a spare battery so if I ever decide to replace it, I might film it.

Thank you for this. I download the player and used it to trim and save in the codec I wanted. I have Gigabytes of raw bulk video from underwater cameras. Often I only need 10%, the rest is trash. Microsoft photos will no trim large files sizes. This is the perfect fast player / trim app. This will save me hundreds of GB of space and time.

I have red slugs and grey slugs and leopard slugs in my area (ny) but I found some eggs outside (hoping they were snails) and put them in my terrarium. They just hatched and they are completely white. Eye stalks so I know they're slugs... I'm replying to you cuz I think you might have more info. Could they be an albino variation? I've seen the above mentioned slugs babies before and they were always colored in some way. These are bigger than grey slug babies and white as white can be lol.

    • @bobpenny8011
      @bobpenny8011 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

I believe they are likely an endemic (meaning, it has become prevalent in their isolated population) white phase. So, not albinos, which occur at no more than at the most 13% of the population. For all slugs in an area to be white a genetic "drift" has happened, where over several generations in a population which is somewhat isolated the white coloration gene has become predominant (endemic). Albinism is a white color from a lack of any color cells at all. White phase is white because white color cells predominate.

I just want to cut pieces out of my video and never use them again. Like cut the first 10 seconds out. Then 10 minutes in cut another 5 seconds out, and then 30 seconds later cut more of the video out. This software makes it impossible to take out little pieces of the video and keep the rest. Seems like you have to trim all the video you want, then use more software to piece them back together again.

    • @deandrake

Yeah... I wish that feature existed as well, but unfortunately it doesn't. With this tool, you can only cut out clips you want and then you can piece them together in an editor.
