SB9 is "copy cat" of HI Ohana zoning except SB9 IS geared more for contractors vs home owners wishing to build additional home on their property for grown kids to live in with their families. SB9 needs to be re-written to exclude contractors/property developers from purchasing properties in residential areas to build multi family high rise buildings.

Thank you to South Bay Council of Governments! Every city today already has the right to zone the land in their city as they so choose! No need for Sacramento to REQUIRE every city to sub-divide every single family parcel.

Thanks for this report. What might also add to the housing shortage and prices continuing to rise is the fact that people from other countries can buy real estate in our country, and turn them into rentals, or they'll just sit empty for relatives to stay in when visiting CA. Also, NPR reported that 20% of homes in the US are owned by investment groups. Housing has now become a commodity. :/

Many Are Choosing To Be The PROBLEM and NOT the SOLUTION! Many people feel government in infringing/encroaching on their rights...these mandates Are a health and safety issue and NOT a political issue! Humans Are the most difficult especially, those with self-centered mentality! It's talking to rock heads who refuse to see the whole picture!

Artesia goes through Gardena, Torrance, Redondo Beach, Manhattan Beach Hawthorne goes through Inglewood, Hawthorne, Lawndale, Redondo Beach, Torrance, RPV PCH goes through Harbor City, Carson(?), Lomita, Torrance, Redondo Beach, Hermosa Beach, Manhattan Beach, El Segundo(?) PCH (East to West) and Hawthorne Blvd (North to South) would serve most of SBCCOG Board Cities
