I know a lot of people are dunking or laughing about that first line😅 i mean yes, All of Greek Mythology would disagree with it but i don't think it's out of character for the gods to 'think' that they don't overreact to things😂 I think that line represents what Poseidon would believe about himself, no person who's actually petty thinks they're petty and overreactive. So, yeah, that line to me speaks more about what Poseidon thinks of himself (levelheaded, gracious etc) and not what/who he really is 😅 that's my opinion, that line isn't out of place.

Dang, Odysseus is just learning to fear for his life every time he meets a god. He had Athena for a toxic mentor, Poseidon killed most of his fleet over a self-defense wound, Circe tried to force herself onto him, Zeus showed up on Helios's behalf and played a sadistic trolley game with Ody, and now he has another goddess who's not being pacified by his fidelity, and to add to it all he's stuck with this one. There's no option to run this time, not for seven years, and he didn't know it would end at all. The amount of trauma piled up on this man by the end of his journey is devastating. Imagine every time Athena shows up, even after surviving everything, Ody winces. In The Odyssey, she shows up to give him his disguise near the end, so how exactly is that going to go? I'M SO CURIOUS!!!

I don't get how people get uncomfortable listening to a song. Yeah, I get what it's implying. We all know the myths of Zeus and how he was. It's a character, expressed through a song. How is it uncomfortable/triggering?

I keep forgetting the lines changed "Let me depart with some peace of mind" is now Eurylochus singing "And what will you do when it tears us apart?" Which both rhymes differently with the previous lines, but leads differently into the next section (which I'm assuming would have happened at the end of what we see in this clip anyway)
