Knocking Down the House

A bit clunky camera work. Did not stay to the end of the demolition. And, yes, that is my hand attempting to block out the sun in the upper left-hand corner.

Bing search on MLB Teams. They make clear there are 29 pro teams. Apparently, Detroit Tigers did not make the cut.
Home Demolition -- Less than 16 minutes

Home Depot not quite. Try Home Demo Done in less than 16 minutes. This guys shows how to get a house knocked down!
Looked like a decent small house. About the size for a retired single guy like me. Cant find any small houses to buy in my area, so I'm stuck living in a tiny, crappy apartment ...
Have a Beer
Good video.
Well that machine will never wear out, that's for sure,
Looks like your first demo job, 45 mins and still standing.
I love watching demolition.
New volvo? Nice machine!
Did they just push the entire demolished house down into what was a basement? I've heard of it being done on rural farm or ranch acreage but it seems like a weird thing to do on a city lot like this. Isn't the typical procedure to truck away the debris and (unless the new structure is planned to also have a basement) eliminate the pit with clean fill dirt which is compacted to minimize future settling?
Briefly spoke with the crew. Yes, they pushed the debris into the basement. From there, the material was extracted with a claw attachment and separated for recycling, recovery and landfill. They are able to make (re)-use of about 10-20% of the house. Pushing into the basement meant they had the rest of the yard area to separate the material. These are rather small lots.
@@electrical5 Hey, thanks a lot for taking the time to ask the crew about my question. It didn't occur to me but it makes sense that they'd need space to work on sorting the debris. Thanks again and have a great week!
Where’s the guy with the hose ,hard hat he is working on a job site without safety equipment,
Hope they got the right house.
damn...i was not home when they showed up...i will bet it scared the shit out my cat
How to reallllly eliminate the monthly satellite TV bill.
It's not a house but a garden shed (:D)
Great job. Very little spillage
Can someone explain to me what's the purpose of spraying the house with water while it's being demoed?
Dust control.
Why would you hose the house, when tarring down a house?
Is this house In Ottawa, or is the house in Ontario somewhere?
I hate when these demo crews don’t salvage doors. That front down and the sunroom door were both salvageable and could’ve been repurposed, if not even donated to Habitat for Humanity. In fact, so many great resources, just trashed…to fill another landfill. We are just too wasteful and dismissive.
Glad they were keeping the asbestos dust down whoo 😯
...OH WAIT! IT WAS THE HOUSE NEXT DOOR I WAS SUPPOSED TO KNOCK DOWN?
Homesless people watching this : 🫠
I hate anyone choice to tore down house when there's million homeless out there
why watering the house????
did the garage survive?
house don't even look in bad condition
this house was bult with cappboard.
Homeless people: here it comes!!
Plot twist: they demolished the wrong house
I wouldn’t mind do dis all day tbh🤣🥴
I put houses and mobile homes to rest as well. I've made a hundred or so disappear. I'd like to see the rest of your operation. We both know this is the easy part. Let's see the tedious cleanup. A lot of Demolition outfits leave an atrocious mess. We have cleaned up many unfinished demo's. It's a real problem in the industry.
Someone died in the upstairs bathroom.
"What do you mean 'wrong house'?"
I AM DYNEMITE. AND I AM CHEAPER, AND READY IN SIX SECONDS.
Why was it torn down?
VERY NEATLY DONE FOLKS HES KEEPING IT SELF CONTAINED
AMAZING footage! I kinda wish we had backstory, like why this house is being demolished.
Someone died in the upstairs bathroom.
I know its a wide open question but around how much does it cost to have a house around that size demolished?
Someone died in the upstairs bathroom.
This is house that’s was too bad t be saved
Damn RIP can’t even just Rox the roof or whatever is wrong with it? Oh well
Why hosing water?
Dust control. Otherwise there would be clouds of plaster dust flying around the other houses.
Nowadays it would’ve been cheaper to refurbish it and sell it back demoing it
American houses don't last long.
Nothing lasts long when a backhoe starts demolishing it.
The modern, cookie cutter, factory built homes with cheaper materials certainly don't. Homes built, let's say, from the 70's on back, last much longer. They were better built with good solid materials.
@@LANESxNOWONLYx no new houses do. Just watched a video earlier about brand new UK houses with tons of defects. A few may last a while but many will be gone.
This is the easy part of the job, long way to go before it’s done.
There’s a CAT in the house. 😂
Looks like loads of fun
Home? it's made out of wood. Shed more like. Bit of wind and that "home" would blow down the road.
So somehow it avoided wind for many decades?
Plenty of wood frame homes that have been in place for quite a long time.
Wood framed homes can handle all kinds of wind. They’re surprisingly rigid. They do however start falling apart when winds exceed 120mph. Brick houses do too as roofs are a weak point.
I wanna see the earthquake version.
Dinosaur destroyed smol home
It makes me sick.
Get well soon.

Someone's fond memories were from that home. Sad how things turn out.
I bet someone bought this land just to put a over price house on that will not even last as long as this one did.
Someone died in the upstairs bathroom.
Memories live in your mind not in physical space.
