Awesome!
Good, although one sided.
They are BOTH delusional and film has a woke agenda. Making the mother crazy and delutional doesn't validate the rest or make it any less so.
This was a great short film, Aaron. I’m so glad I came across it.
Thanks so much for watching and for the comment!
this was pointless and unenlightening
Wow, this is amazing. Well done. I lived this. In my case it was religion that tore our family apart. My mom loved us, just as this woman loved her son, but she was also brainwashed, sure she was doing the right thing, and adamant in her refusal to have us in her life if we weren't in the same religion ( one with crazy ideas) . She hurt us and she hurt herself, too, just like the mom in this film. Sometimes I put it aside and happily get on with the rest of life's experiences. Sometimes I revisit it and get sad.
So sorry to hear that this hit close to home. But thank you for watching and sharing.
This was absolutely brilliant! Sad, but you can't let yourself get sucked in.
Thank you!
Some might say that they both reflect ways people cope with a fractured world-neither truly grounded or addressing the broader societal and personal dysfunctions they embody.
What a great movie, with all the maddening, saddening dramas of today in Trumpland U.S.A! Excellent acting by both mother and son and laterally, the new friend. And a remembrance of that insulting unscientific vaccine dialog in the early days of Covid when Trump was so insulting to doctors and scientists, which was then picked up by a certain contingent of the population. I remember small groups gathered near a super market every day, shouting their anti-vaccine theories. And remember, since he never clearly said who his physician was, we never found out which vaccine he was taking. Like his taxes, no one ever finds out about these things, which before ...and including President Biden, had been mandatory and given freely.
Life. Altho painful, It gets better, to each his destiny.
I think this could be viewed as a propaganda piece. The mother confounded with extreme conspiratorial beliefs, the gay son, the jab-bed eating nonchalantly at the dining table (19.00) pretending they haven't been injected with a toxic substance. The son claiming he did his own research and listened to dr's and medical experts. GP's read the contents of the latest vaccines from the leaflet that comes with it. What did the leaflet say about mrna? Did anyone here read it?
This short was meant to show the state of divide in our country and amongst family.
@@330pictures It was somewhat skewed. In reality it was the un-jab-bed who were ostracised, mandated from their jobs, kept out of cafes, libraries and public pools (in NZ) and uninvited to family functions, all because they didn't accept the narrative spewing from their television. In this short that person is portrayed as an utter nutter and the jab-bed as sensible, realistic and rational.
@@330pictures Goodness, my response has disappeared.
I see all three of your comments. And I don’t really have anything to say in response because I don’t feel the need to debate this. 🤷🏻♂️
There is weird on both sides. I became a republican the night I saw my cousins rejoicing Trump getting shot. Sickened me.😢
Fantastic film. great acting by all. So many people down that rabbit hole. At least 77 million.
Thanks Charlene!
Not QAnon but a believer in the Bible. Sad this is considered an Award Winning film. Praying for you all!
Thanks but you don’t need to! 👍🏻
Just starte the movie. I seen a fee comments about hiding out. Im curious to see what thats about, because i am a hider. Big time. Safer.
Omg the trump effect is so real
I want to know what happened... beautiful story...now for the series...
Definitely 2020 vibes. So many rabbit holes, so little time.
Oooof. This was tough. Even more so now in 2024 🫠 but the end is so beautiful but sad I’m crying
Thanks Chelsea!
I just subscribed after watching the BRILLIANT Rabbit Hole. Can wait for this one!!!!
Awesome! Thank you!
Wow! I didn't want the story to end! What a masterpiece!!!! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Thank you so much 😀
People, perhaps in the future, will think this is somewhat exaggerated. I can assure you - it's not.
So beautiful and layered, the tangled web of how destructive delusion and betrayal can be, the catastrophic damage caused by polarizing and propagandizing. Handled with such grace…
Sweet film and very good acting by the young men. The mom was played by Catherine Curtain - a well-established actress who played "mean guard" in Orange is the New Black, among other memorable roles. Nice to see her in this well-done indie short!
Thank you! I was so glad to have her in my short!
That was excellent. Kinda both sad and happy at the same time.
He's college age....He has a job......Why doesn't he move out from the start? I know costs are high but he can get roommates. If he were still in high school I'd get it, but to live in a household when you are an adult....If that household's values doesn't jive with you then you are free to leave. I left my family of origin, and my husband because of conflicting values. I'm no victim. I'm an adult.
He stayed as long as he did because he was a good son and had compassion for his mom and was concerned that her mental health would deteriorate if he wasn't there. Too bad she didn't have the same compassion for him.
@@jodie6925Yes, well said.
He’s better off l
Great story, great acting!!
A beautiful movie. ❤
This was an incredible film. It deserved every one of the awards won so far, and I hope it wins many more. Fantastic work to the writer, director, actors, and everyone else involved in making it!
Thank you so much for this!
Wow, this was really good! I am recommending this film to others.
Thank you Dina!
The point at which a child becomes an adult, diverging from his mom's beliefs and values. In this case, it was for the better. It's a point in time that is pivotal for both parent and child. It's the end of innocence, a realization of a parent's frailty and weaknesses.
Well said!
Yes indeed. Thank you so much for watching!
Very moving film! The only part that tweaked me a little was the casting of Catherine Curtin, because I adore her as a performer and she seems like a fine human. So, part of me wanted Blake to stay and rescue her from the rabbit hole. Intellectually, I understood his choice and why it is valid for those who make it but … I’d have such a hard time with it. Alas, good art isn’t always pleasant, and good stories don’t require happy endings for everyone. Well done, all!
That's very kind of you to want that outcome. Sadly, I don't think it was a possibility. It's incredibly difficult to change the mind of someone who has been brainwashed. Notice how just the fact that he didn't embrace the beliefs himself made her kick him out. 😢
I’m with you. She’s a gem of a person and an incredible actor. I thought she brought a great humanity to the role, even though the ending was sad. Thanks for watching!
Is this Dom's rabbit hole?
It is not, but we have talked about a follow up to Rabbit Hole with a Dom rabbit hole.
To ‘choose’ the rabbit hole over your own flesh and blood. To turn away your own child on the word of a snake oil salesman. Lordy, that was a bluddy good film, well done.
In reality it was the un-jab-bed who were turned away and ostracised by their own flesh and blood.
❤ This was whirlwind! It was Frustrating, Heartbreaking, and Infuriating! But, it was also Beautifully Sweet. Well done. Thank you, for the eye opening journey.☮️❤🌼
Thank you so much!
How his mother reacted when she found out he was vaccinated, is how I might have reacted if my adult child didn’t believe in vaccines. It was beautiful to watch him become his authentic self.
The one true statement made by the mother: "You need to move out Blake." He's not losing his mother, she was already lost.
😢
Phenomenal acting in this video
13:35 that background curtain is stunning, i need to know where I can get one
Amazon! And added string lights! :)
What a lovely excellent little big film
Thank you so much!
please make a movie. great short flim.
this is most americans right now. the trump suppoters belive he will bring down prices but what hes planning to do will raise cost so much.
Lmao I love the “impeach Biden” flag on the house at the beginning😂😂😂
Fine film! Thank you! This country needs to get out of its own way.
Loved this.
Good work!
Sponsored by the woke Democrars. Amazed there weren't transexuals in it🤣
Wonderful.. Please be true to yourself. Children think that they can rescue their parents from destructive behavior. His mother showed him by cutting the cord ,that she didn't need him.
You really got the actress from OITNB!? I LOVE HER ❤️ She played an awesome part as a Correctional Officer. Now she's played an excellent part as his Mother. Well done, but don't bash others' political views. It doesn't matter. None of that does. What does matter is love and support of each other. ❤
It has gone beyond a matter or different political views. It has become about a lack of human decency and the propagation of outrageous and hyper damaging lies. If I were alive when Hitler was coming into power, I would like to think I would have spoken up. I'm going to do the same now. I can love my neighbor, but not support their craziness or their hatred. That DOES need to be called out. It's already done so much damage.
Great film. Enjoyed it immensely. Thanks 👍
Glad you enjoyed it!
