"Barba," is a tribute to my dear guitar teacher Vlado Štimac.
I started playing classical guitar when I was six. When we first met, he gave me the choice to call him Barba or Grandpa, and so he became my Barba. Our bond was special; he not only taught me how to play the guitar but also how to express musicality.
One of the fondest memories of my childhood was when he announced that we would begin learning "Recuerdos del Alhambra." This song, inspired by the style of Alhambra, is my way of honoring him, a remarkable guitar teacher, my Barba.
