That's actually false about Nero. Graffiti has been found in Pompeii and secret accounts have been unearthed showing that the existing reputation of Nero is largely false. The graffiti in Pompeii demonstrates their love for Nero. He was actually a loved emperor throughout the empire. Archaeologists have proven, using science, that the account of Nero having his mother killed on the ocean is, literally, not possible. It's also been proven, with science, that Nero could not have been standing on the roof of his palace, celebrating the fire raging through the city (not to mention the fact that Nero's own palace burned down). He never actually kicked his wife to death. She likely died in childbirth. A group of Christians were blamed for starting the fire so Nero executed them according to Roman law: they were tied to a cross and the cross set on fire. That was the state punishment for arsonists. Almost everything we've believed about Nero is false propaganda, written by people who weren't even alive during Nero's life or rule. There's also a theory that Nero's younger half/step brother, who was next in line to be emperor, died from epilepsy - not poisoning. Archaeologists have tried to replicate the account of Nero poisoning his younger brother and it simply isn't feasible. But, epilepsy was a documented illness in ancient Rome, possibly including Julius Ceasar. Rome's #1 industry was propaganda.

Don’t think you should keep quiet when your government passes laws like abortion up to birth and euthanasia for children who are in a wheelchair. Some laws are meant to be challenged. Hitler might not have murdered as many Jews if people had not kept quiet.
