Bangin' hi hats for House Music
มุมมอง 1.2K28 วันที่ผ่านมา
A quick demo of how to make simple hi hats for House Music using Logic Pro. Project files: www.patreon.com/posts/117744901? FYI: I *forgot* to pan the hats in this video. I don't always do it, but I usually do, just a bit to the left and/or right. Usually I use the pan pots on the channels for this. :)
Start to finish in less than 2 hours.

Nice one bro!
@@PREXSE thank you sir! Thanks for watching, too!
Great
Glad to hear it. Thanks for watching!
Tuned in bro ..always top tips
@georginikolov1141 legend, thank you! I just discovered the compressor in DaVinci Resolve, so the audio should be more consistent in the next video.
I utilise the arp and note repeater and then using randomiser and velocity ..surprised y use the piano roll this days logic sequencer is very powerful
@georginikolov1141 tbh I've never given it much thought, probably because I come from a time when we didn't have it, so I'm used to doing it the old way. I'm gonna mess around with it now though for sure. Thank you for the suggestion!
The script puts think even more powerful .I messed up with the stutter yesterday I usually use fragments but this one gives me sort of same sounds logic midi it's extremely powerful once u start to automate the timings.
Great tune not another anyma shite.keep it up man
@@georginikolov1141 hey thank you! It's not perfect, but it's definitely a good start. I've polished it up a bit since this video, perhaps I should make another one for the extra details. I appreciate you taking the time to watch.
@AnthonyHuttley you welcome pal pressed the sub
@@georginikolov1141 I saw that, thank you. 🙇♂️ Onwards and upwards hey. 🚀
Road to 1k subs🔥
@@ErikLofgren-gn9ml absolutely! Thanks for joining me on the road. :)
Love it Anthony, super high quality!! 💪🏻💪🏻
@@soulaltdelete hey thanks for watching! You obviously don't need it, so I appreciate you taking the time to check it out.
@ I am forever learning my friend 😉
@soulaltdelete you and me both, mate. That's the only way to be! 🤝
Love the video, been wanting to learn more on percussive house and these types of videos are super helpful to get the detailing right on some tracks ! 🙌🏻
So glad to hear it. Took me ages to really nail the details like hats and shaker grooves, so hopefully videos like this can help others like yourself get there a bit faster than I did. At the end of the day, these are just ideas though, you gotta do what sounds good.
Great video! Keep em coming!
Glad to hear it, thank you! Will do!
good video thank you !!
You're most welcome! Glad you enjoyed it, and thanks for watching!
very nice! which samplepack are those toploops from?
That's a great question. I can't remember but I think they're from the chop shop. Quality samples! Btw thanks so much for watching!
Stuble into this yesterday and it's great video, I am using reason 12 and the video is perfect...like to see more
@@mkxthabo5672 thanks so much for watching! I'm glad you got some value out of it. What kind of stuff would you like to see, anything in particular?
@@AnthonyHuttley In South Africa things has changed musically, and we want to try and bring back that 90's Detroit Deep House...a track with minimal sounds...i.e drumloop, baas, 2 chord progression, stabs, lead and maybe vocals...few but effective groovy sounds...I will appreciate that...
I've never done a "how to make ____” type of video, but I might be up for the challenge. Leave it with me and we'll see what happens. No promises though. 😅
Víctor Mendivil type beat😈🔥
What a mad coincidence! I'd never heard of him before today. Thanks for watching though!
Great stuff mate!
@@PREXSE hey thanks! Just listening back now and it seems a bit out of balance 😅😅but the point remains the same.
I got so frustrated with my hats that I went out and bought one. I also got x2 SM 57's and I am taking the time to get good at playing it. Eventually I will sample it and then load the audio on to my sampler.
😦😦 No way! Really?? That's next level man. Good call on the sm57s. What brand hi hats did you buy?
@AnthonyHuttley it's Ludwig with paste simbles
@@b00ts4ndc4ts a great choice! It's been a while, but I used to love the sound of Paiste cymbals.
Amazing tut yet again mate! Keep em coming!
@@lackofaffektmusic hey thanks again for watching! Glad to hear it. Next one out in a week. :)
So good! I liked watching how you do bass, pretty different process than my own. Your syncopating and crafting rythms was also super fun. Very inspiring. Great job mate, also need to know where you got that sweater for a "freind" 😋
Eeyyy thanks so much for watching! I don't always do bass like that, but if I'm going in with no ideas, I often do. I find it's a good way to get a good groove from the start. As for the sweater, I have no idea where I got it, I'll have to ask the misso and get back to you. It sure is comfy though.
is this logic 11.1?
@@jasperruddock5155 unfortunately not. I'm running Logic 10 point something on a 2016 Intel Mac. I'll upgrade one day. 😅
@AnthonyHuttley Nothing wrong it's all the way
@@jasperruddock5155 yeah it gets the job done eventually. Usually not without crashing once or twice. Haha.
@AnthonyHuttley The new logic now has a search option, so you don't need to scroll through anymore, which they have in studio one
Oh man, that sounds so good! I've been meaning to organise my plugs a bit better. Maybe I'll do that soon.
Nice one Anthony! Great vid
Legend. Thanks for watching!
Great. More please ❤
@@Mr_Freduk thanks for watching! Is there anything in particular you'd like more of?
@ nothing in particular. Just nice to see tracks being made in logic, rather than Ableton.
@Mr_Freduk that's exactly why I did it tbh. I'm glad to hear it's appreciated!
@@Mr_Freduk ableton remain a better daw though lol just learn it
@@user99641 I like Cubase as well as logic and Ableton
I love that this shows for me on every app. Such an amazing song
