Photographer Graham Macindoe and writer Susan Stellin: Coming Clean.
Graham Macindoe moved from Scotland to New York to pursue his photography career, and despite achieving early success, working with celebrities and travelling the world, Graham's life spirals out of control.
The narrative explores his journey through addiction, his eventual arrest and time in Rikers Island, and the path to his recovery. Central to this is his relationship with the person who supported him through his darkest times, leading to a new life where Graham uses his experience and photography to discuss and address the issues surrounding depictions of addiction and recovery.
This interview was orignially recorded in 2017 by Jonathan Worth and is used as part of a series that addresses issues of representation in photography classes at Nottingham Trent University.
