All you need to do is to Google it. The research is well documented for everyone to see
33 countries, Western, decided to partition a land that did not belong to them, Palestine, and without the consent of it's indigenous people, let alone it's Arab neighbours. All documented if you want to look it up
Hi Susan, The partition of Palestine in 1947, proposed by UN General Assembly Resolution 181, was indeed a decision made by 33 countries. The plan aimed to establish separate Jewish and Arab states but was met with opposition from Arab leaders and neighboring countries. If you're interested in exploring the historical context further, here are some credible sources that provide deeper insights: 1. My parents were both very lucky to make it out alive of El Lid.
So sorry they had to go through this, truly horrific
Hitler knows them.
Conquered?? What a joke. It’s an occupation.
Really truthful!
Occupation can nwver make authority
These are the conversations that need to be had, for the sake of understanding, education, diplomacy and healing. Because I want to believe in the basic goodness of humanity, I come to these conversations with a hunger for intelligent and artful exchanges that consistently keep me learning. Thank you.
Palestinians will never forget, free Palestinian
Sad that the Arab people are not allowed to show their support for Palestinians because of the oppressive regimes governing them. Palestinians are always in our thoughts❤
The Israel level of EVIL always amazes me. Is there an end to the EVIL?
WOW!
This conversation, these conversations...that they could be included in public education curriculum would be a balm, a transformation of heart and mind for future generations. Thank you for continuing to educate me, in the spirit of kindness and wisdom. I certainly wasn't taught these stories in my schooling.
This is inhuman and cruel. 🇵🇸🤲🇵🇸🤲🇵🇸🤲🇵🇸🤲
Sounds like a secular mindset
Bullshit
actually well documented if you'd care to look it up.
Extremely heart breaking
Stop with this terrorists propaganda
This horrific historical perspective is so deeply needed! Thank you
Absolutely disgusting & pure evil 😈 😤 & US supports, funds & protects Zionist Israel 😢🤬
Lying will not accomplish the objective as lying presume everyone is a fool. However, not everyone is a f o o l. So, be truthful as this is how human beings operate. See why M-u-s- l-i-m groups has no trust with each other? Because lies is justified and lies break down trust.
All the research is documented and online for those who want to both to find out the truth
@enlightenmentpodcast There is no truth for those people who justify the use of lies to demonized a legitimate democratic state.
The UN did not consult with the people living in that land - it was a textbook colonial move. I think many of us faced with loss of our homes and land might fight back. The genocide is a separate issue as both then and today, zionists (not all Jews by any means) declared their intent to erase Palestinian identity. Hope that helps.
@@enlightenmentpodcast as well as British Empire, Ottoman Empire, et satura. The "palestinians" (the same arabs as in Egypt, Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Saudi Arabia,...) have never been the owners of any lands. By the way, bringing jews back to their home (to Israel) is the best example of decolonization. When real owners go back to their land. And yes, arabs originally came from Saudi Arabia. They are invaders by default!
It was the decision of UN to separate land to 2 states. After that, 5 arab countries started the offensive to Israel and lost this war. Loosing the war which arab started calls defeat, not genocide
Exactly

@enlightenmentpodcast Province Palestine was part of the British Empire after WW1. The British could manage this territory even on their own, without asking the United Nations. By the way, the British fully supported the creation of the Jewish state (modern Israel).
You’re correct that Palestine was under British control after World War I, as part of the British Mandate. The British government supported the establishment of a Jewish national home in Palestine through the 1917 Balfour Declaration, which expressed their support for the creation of a Jewish state. However, tensions between the Jewish and Arab populations grew over the years, and Britain found it increasingly difficult to manage the situation. By 1947, with rising unrest, Britain decided to withdraw from Palestine and handed the issue to the United Nations. This led to UN Resolution 181, which proposed partitioning Palestine into separate Jewish and Arab states. While the Jewish leadership accepted the plan, it was rejected by the Arab leadership and neighboring Arab countries. These sources provide more context on the Balfour Declaration, the British Mandate, and the UN Partition Plan: 1. Balfour Declaration (1917): The Balfour Declaration was a letter from British Foreign Secretary Arthur Balfour to Lord Rothschild, leader of the British Jewish community. It expressed the British government's support for the establishment of a "national home for the Jewish people" in Palestine, while ensuring that nothing would be done to prejudice the civil and religious rights of the existing non-Jewish communities in Palestine. However, the declaration was vague and led to conflicting interpretations, especially concerning the rights of the Arab population. 2. British Mandate for Palestine (1920-1948): The British Mandate for Palestine was formalized by the League of Nations in 1922. It granted Britain administrative control over Palestine after the collapse of the Ottoman Empire following World War I. Britain was tasked with preparing the region for self-governance, but tensions between the Jewish and Arab populations escalated during this period, particularly due to Jewish immigration and land acquisition, and Arab opposition to Zionist objectives. 3. UN Resolution 181 (1947): This UN resolution proposed the partition of Palestine into two independent states, one Jewish and one Arab, with Jerusalem as an international city. The plan was accepted by the Jewish leadership but was rejected by the Arab states and Palestinian Arabs, who opposed the idea of partition and the creation of a Jewish state on the land they considered their own.
Very courageous
Shutup!
The humanitarian aid is there but you fail to address the fact that Hamas hijack the aid from being distributed to the population. So before you accuse double standard address the Hamas who steal the food.do your homework before accusing US and Israel
Gaza has been under siege for over 17 years
Are civilised or still cave people please stop the killing
Powerful
❤ ❤
Agreed.
Exactly!
Double standards!
Wow! A delicious conversation around a table of love and stories...that our worlds were seated in such bounty and justice. Thank you, thank you. ❤
The cheff just doesn't understand that Jew's have realised that they need to go back home govern and defend themselves...and just because his family took over this home as part of Muslim qonqwers of middle East it doesn't mean the land is his !!!
Maybe it you read the holy book you'd have your answer 🤡 God said o children of isrāel i saved from the Pharoah, don't cause corruption on earth, you're to be the travelers of the earth. You see they have access to 100+ countries Palestinians don't! The logic doesn't work with that specific kind, it's ALWAYS the victim Card. The irony of him speaking for victims
Hahaha, I hope she is not British or United States of American or Canadian. Because isn't that exactly what those nations have done. Until you give back the land you took.
Truth
Absolutely wonderful interview! Great episode 👍
Another really interesting guest
That was so interesting learning about Samia's life and art. What an amazing lady .
I'm Jewish and recently relocated to Israel from Russia simply because of better economic prospects. And man I hate ignorance on the issue of most Israelies. No one gives a f even to learn about terrible conditions and discrimination arabs are subjected to, even though they are often just 30-50 km apart. Can't wait to make enough money to move to any western peaceful country
Thank you for this continuing conversation. As you are going to be covering this expanding horror into Lebanon, I hope you can address the issue of Hamas and Hezbollah and how their existence continues to be a "card played" in the impunity of this current Israeli government's genocidal tactics, supported open-eyed by my country's government. Again, thank you for your compassionate and vital conversation...it encourages the need to stay human.
Sane and compassionate conversation. Thank you for continuing this as my country represents the opposite today on election day. Prayers and letters written for a ceasefire today and every day.
Thank you so much and all best wishes.
Please keep making these informative videos. People need to know their history and how it effects present day xx
And as you said "I'm jew, and NOT IN MY NAME".
