I loved reading Mad magazine growing up. Spy vs. Spy was my favorite comic in the book. Having a magazine rack is just awesome. Never owned any Trek figures, but I have a nice ship collection from Master Replicas, lol. Every day, I pray Lego or Haslab starts making Trek merch. They're missing out on money.

Actually, I think it's more a Ro novel. Yes, Picard is quite prominent, but when the story begins and ends much of its development revolves around her. Excelent review!

Hey The Lost Years series seems promising. I heard the audiobook for the first book read by Scotty. It was sweet. The Eugenics Wars was good. Mindshadow is sweet as well. Peace 🫡🖖

I just bought and finished Imzadi yesterday. Its beginning and end was good, but it’s middle… I dunno man. It’s pretty pervy. So Troi is kidnapped and lead through the jungle for days, exhausted and hurt, is rescued by Riker, and spends the days it takes to get out of the woods banging him. Their gross unwashed bodies in a humid jungle constantly banging. The smell would be disgusting, and they are disgusting. These characters have sex addictions.

Decipher was the company that was licensed to print STCCG and the Star Wars CCG concurrently. Apparently there was an embezzlement scam perpetrated by the ceo's brother in law or similar who was the cfo. They never quite recovered from it and dude is out of jail now. But they created some of the highest quality card series at the time.

I STILL have a container full of these. I used to play imaginary games with these cards when I was a kid.

I wonder if my local comic book store sells Star Trek merch? Would love to have some cards. Can you actually use them to play with or are they just collectibles?

I agree this one felt different, mainly because the author seemed way more conscious of the different character development that had happened on the TV show by the time she was writing this one. She even references a bunch of different episodes and what happened to the crew during them. The other TNG Pocket Novels don't seem to do that as much.

Could it be possible that cetacean ops originated all the way back to the movie, Star Trek: the Voyage Home, where Kirk and the original TOS crew on a Klingon vessel took two humpback whales from 1986 and brought them into the future to communicate with a hostile alien probe that spoke whale song? Whales were extinct in the Star Trek timeline, until then.

That alien that came with ensign Kim looks fantastic. Also I love how you have shelves for each series in the franchise.

The world needs more trek toys. I need Lego to stop playing and start releasing Star Trek sets. How cool would it be if Haslabs made some figures?
