It's a curious setup for the group. I would like the cello (whatever it is) to be combined or sitting next to the harpsichord. That's what BC is...this way the cello is acting like a solo instrument..going fifty-fifty with the recorder.
Yes, Recorder should be upfront. But also the room is not optimal sound wise. Beautiful on the other hand....😊
I’m surprised to see the recordist playing with his instrument so vertically. I was under the assumption as a novice hobby recordist that it was “proper” technique to hold your instrument much closer to horizontal. If this guy is doing it, it can’t be bad, he clearly knows what he’s doing.
I think you are correct. If you observe closely you can see that he is reading the music, which could be a reason for the angle he holds his recorder. I have three daughters who all played to a very high standard and my eldest played this at the age of 12 without any music when she got a distinction at Grade 8. My youngest daughter gave a concert before she left school and played the Maple leaf rag. I believe it's in the Rowland/Jones Recorder Technique Book "45 degrees to the vertical". I was never quite sure what that meant. But this guy is playing it in the normal way.

أداء غير مقنع
Le cello n'est pas accordé (trop bas), mince alors... L'ensemble est raide. Le prélude initial est bien "scolaire"" dans un mouvement qui ne demanderait qu'un peu de fantaisie. L'Allegro, un peu brouillon par moments, ne laisse malheureusement pas suffisamment de place sonore à la flûte pour s'exprimer. La pastorale manque de bucolique... pastoral, pour le moins, on n'entend plus le clavecin et devient très vite ennuyeux. Et l'Allegro final semble bâclé. Je vous dois quand même ce compliment : c'est de le faire en public, car la critique est facile mais l'art est difficile, j'en sais quelque chose. Merci pour votre engagement.
