This song takes me back to my youthful yrs ! I was only 15 years old at the time this song was out ! Better times vs today . If I ever could go back I would in a heartbeat!

I was in Graduate School at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign when I first heard this song at Alfie"s on Rush Street in Chicago. My friend Damaris and I looked at each other and without saying a word, we just went to the dance floor and started dancing. We must have been good because the DJ gave us a light show and everyone at the dance floor just left the two of us alone. That must have been our 15 minutes of fame! LOL!

This song soars! The tension by the end is unbearable! Then it breaks when Teddy whispers “ Cmon y’all umm hum umm hum yeah ya um hummmm. Groove it yall” I’m a drummer. By the end you can’t really stop. It’s hypnosis. It’s not even you playing anymore. You’re so locked. Whenever I hear this to the end I can hear how locked the drummer is.
