honest review of the Milky Plant
Honest short review of the #MilkyPlant.
Bottom line is that I'm having fun and I like it but the marketing team they have is strong so there needs to be some balanced opinions out there!

Really useful. Thank you for your honesty. ❤
Thank you
Mine already started to play up after about 3-4 months of use. Also having the same issues with recipe, I've tried so many things and nothing really works. Nothing mixed well with drinks. Used it loads for first few weeks but slowly became a chore and went back to buying milk from the supermarket. Going to pop it on eBay for next to nothing because of the faults.
I'm being heavily targeted by their ads on ig, so thank you so much for the review.
Thank you for your review! How well did the milkyplant do in time?
I’m using my blender and my nut bag and I’m very happy with the results.
I complete disagree with the. 3 negatives. It's easy to clean if you're not lazy. It takes about 5 minutes, It's healthier than the oil based one and 3. I spend a lot of money on almond milk I spent less in week than I did in 2 weeks.
Good for you Omar ✌️
I agree with you @omarecer1, I was doubting because I purchased my Milky plant before watching this video and became a little nervous. But I love the machine, it's easy to make and clean and I'm saving a lot on vegetable Milk per week ❤❤ and you can play with different nuts, oats, etc, and get delicious plant based milk with thick consistency 😋
@@chanelmedellin5322 Are you still using it? I gave up on mine after loving for the first few months.
I guess I'll continue with my nutri bullet 😊 and ZERO WASTE OF FIBER TY FOR YOUR HONEST REVIEW I WAS VERY TEMPTED BUT I ALREADY HAVE TO MANY KITCHEN GADGETS LOL
Thank you. i really needed this. would be nice to know the actually cost of producing oat, or soya, or cashew and other milk. oats are relatively cheap but having to buy other nuts I think which cost a lot more...i saw people make with a handful just for a bottle of milk, i don't think it's economical....if it was they would have shown it in their add to justify the price of the machine
Would adding something like dates or cane sugar help with the taste when it comes to oat milk?
Why do people want everything to taste sweet? Believe it or not there are other taste sensations than sweet!
Oatly is full of fillers and stabilisers why would you want that lol
I believe amylase would help with getting an oatly taste, you apparently need to break down the oat husk into it's natural sugars!
I don’t like Oatly and it doesn’t rate well on my Yuka app. I don’t like how thick it is. 😝 Thanks for your review on the machine.
Thanks for review. I think I will stick to the squeezy bag method :)
Thanks for sharing that info. I have been thinking is it worth it, so it is good to get a bit of clarification, both positive and negative points.
There are cheaper machines that do the same thing
Right, but if that’s the case and you bother making such a comment why not mention which machines those are?
Not really. Or what are they??
@@cleverestxthe Soy Bella is one ( it’s not as pretty but it works) the Salter, which I haven’t used but has good reviews, I think the Almond cow is a simmilar price, but makes bigger quantities and there’s a load of those “ kettle blender things from China “ which I bought one for £60 off Temu which works like a dream but I’m not sure if it’s longevity
@@azzalossoy Bella, Salter is a very good price, lots of unbranded ones from China, the Milomat is similar price but makes more milk and acts as a blender and soup maker and the Almond Cow is expensive but makes a lot of milk also I own a Soybella and an unbranded Chinese Kettle blender, both work great I’ve had the soy Lola three years so it’s paid for itself and is still going, I haven’t had the Chinese one very long so can’t comment on its longevity
The Soya Bella is not that good. It produces quite grainy milk as it just doesn’t filter it through a fine enough mesh. I ended up having to strain it through a nut milk bag and even then just get bits of pulp. When I made oat milk with it it turned out super slimy and horrible. My parents use it a lot to make almond and don’t mind the bits of almond pulp in it (grainy texture) for their porridge so it might suit you, but personally I don’t rate it. It is cheaper though and has lasted about 3 years.
yes, i've had an awful customer service experience with them as well. and so have others, so i see, from googling around a bit. you'd think for such an expensive product they've sought crowdfunding more that they would be more supportive of their customers - especially in their still early days. take this from me, red flags all the way with this company. do not buy it, do not buy it, and if you still don't believe me, do your homework. start with trustpilot.
Don’t buy it. They sent me a malfunctioning machine and they refuse to resolve this issue! Terrible customer service. Save your nerves and money
If you want to make it more creamy you can add some cashews to your oatmilk or some palm oil and as for cleaning its not suppost to fully clean its more of a prewash so to make clean up easier for people that can't clean it straight after use etc
Thanks for your review, I’ve been living off Oatley for years now and I guess o was hoping it would be able to make a somewhat similar produce! Glad I found your video and you addressed this specifically ❤
I just received mine, bit of an impulse buy. i knew it wouldnt taste the same as oatly, im fine with that, i dont mind a less creamy oatmilk, it will take some experimentation to get it to how i like it, i like to add some sweetness and a touch of sea salt, will experiment with a touch of rapeseed oil. i bought primarily to make oatmilk without dealing with the slime of rinsing oatmilk from cheese cloth thingys. I havent been blown away by it. Its probably not worth the price, i didnt do the math, but figure if it lasts long enough, it will pay for itself. Its bulkier and more noisy than you think. The cleaning side not too taxing. But thats just initial thoughts.
Sadly they just don't last, it's an alpha product that is built on the cheap.
thank you
thanks!!!
my experience is the machine does not work very well it is over priced and the milk does not taste very good when the machine works very dissapointed
Thnx for Yr review..... Just wondering about yr carbon foot print & packaging savings? I wonder if this balances vs the cost of the machine itself, production of plastics etc..
Nice review but wanting something that’s natural to taste like something that’s artificial is always gonna be disappointing. Supermarket brands are designed by scientists who understand that consumers are driven by taste. The problem is this goes against your health which should of been the whole point of an oat milk option anyway. Long story less long… find another way to sweeten the milk and never expect something that is natural to taste like something that’s artificial
🙄
Super useful indeed. Thank you!
Can you add dates in your milky machine to sweeten them? I've made plant based milks with dates in blender for sweetness, not sure if you can put dates in these machines? What would happen if I did?
Yes you can! Works fine!
Thank you!!
Super useful thanks
Exactly what I was looking for. Thank you 🙏🏻💐
Thanks for the review. Brands add food grade amylase to their oat milk. Maybe that’s the key to it tasting nicer at home
Oat milk uses an enzyme to break down the starches into sugars, thats why it tastes so sweet. It will never taste like oat milk unless you process it with that enzyme
Can we buy that enzyme somewhere?
here for the info on this.. @@vlogbrotherdave
Thanks for the review. I’ve been looking at one and same I couldn’t find a review
Thanks for the review!
The reason why homemade oat milk does not taste like store bought is because of enzymes: turns out that it’s not obligatory to mention them on the packaging. Unless you use them when making your oat milk, you’ll probably end up with a slimey, taste-like-nothing liquid…
Thank you, amazing review ☺️❤️
