these exams are not about knowing English, it's about memorizing phrases and idioms and structures... Very annoying and I really hate it, but this video is superhelpful and useful to see what the examiner expects

Hello, don’t really know, I think you should check it.
It's funny that you advise not to use use any phrasal verbs, but you throw some of them in the prior table. "Carry out" is, as far as I know, a phrasal verb.
Hello! Fair point. However, ‘carry out’ is one of the few phrasal verbs that can be used in formal writing.

Hi, lexi, i am a language learner as well as an IELTS aspirant. I wrote it two times. I need 7 band in individual module. Unfortunately, i got L8R7S6W6 overall 7 and L7.5R7.5S5.5W6 overall 6.5. How can i improve my Speaking and writing skills?
Hello! I suggest you find a study buddy who you could practise speaking with. As for writing, you need to famliarise yourself with all the types of writing in the exam (the structure, criteria, etc.) and practise as much as you can as well. It'll be helpful to find somebody who could assess you writing (ideally a competent teacher) and give you recommendations on how to improve it. Unfortunately, not all exam candidates can prepare for IELTS themselves, they need a teacher to guide them.

Can you explain to me the difference between expat and immigrant?
I'd say 'expat(riate)' is someone who immigrated for professional purposes (e.g. on assignment) and will be back home some time soon, whereas 'immigrant' has relocated for a longer period (e.g. for a better quality of life), and is going to stay in the new country indefinitely.
