I hit 88ft on this dive.. Wasn't super impressed but did see a couple good size white tip sharks and it looked as tho one was pregnant.

The effect is called solarization, but I have no idea why it would have happened. Low light levels maybe?

We swan out straight from the beech keeping the condos above the rock in front of us about 40-50 yards we then dropped took a heading towards a few rocks that break the surface about south and swam over the first reef section we found then headed south by southwest and kept following the canyon walls to our right once we got into them. hope that helps its a great easy dive spot and kewl formations to explore

Can you tell me what part of Divers Cove you were in. Did you go straight out to the reef that is far off shore or did you go to the right towards Fisherman's Cove. Do you know a compass heading i could follow. Extremely cool video. Thanks for posting.

LA Jolla Shores Is Easy but its rewards are minimal other than the edge of the Canyon not a ton to see goes deep fast. LA Jolla Shores is good Dive swim to A bouy then drop swim around for a bit then head to shore under and its a great dice. Laguna is Great its about an hour drive North and You could hit up Shaws Cove Diver's Cove and Picninc beach all easy shore entries and great dive. One of my fav spots is Crystal Cove state underwater park just North of Laguna(pay parking and lots of spearos

We hit this on a day that couldn't have been better for this place current was opposite normal which worked better for us we dropped down on the inside edge of the pinnacle and the swam counter clockwise we hit 45-50ft on the outside edge current was best possible but could feel it at times. I believe that if you go 30-40 feet out from the outside edge of the pinnacle it hits the canyon and drops to hundreds of feet rapidly . Check in with the life guards so they know your there and to get info
