Inside Amazon's New $1.5 Billion Headquarters
Inside Amazon's New $1.5 Billion Headquarters
If you go by market capitalization, Amazon is the third-largest company in the world. But that's not the only prestigious thing about Amazon. The company also used to be led by the 2. richest man in the world, Jeff Bezos.
And yet, even those aren't the only remarkable things about Amazon. One more remarkable thing about the company is its planned company headquarters. You may think, well, the third biggest company in the world should have a simply astounding headquarters- but that isn't true for many companies. Saudi Aramco, for example, is the second-largest company in the world by some distance- yet even BMW has a way cooler headquarters.

Are Vertical Cities A Realistic Future?
มุมมอง 10K3 ปีที่แล้ว
Are Vertical Cities A Realistic Future? Depending on who you ask, the world is either overpopulated or on it's way to overpopulation. And in the next 10 years, the world would see an increase in environmental problems such as rising atmospheric carbon dioxide levels, global warming, and pollution. Why? Because these problems are aggravated by population expansion. Add that to the inevitable des...

The Architecture of Antilia Explained What comes to mind when you think of Indian architecture? The Taj Mahal? The Lotus temple? How The Empire State Building Almost Failed
มุมมอง 1.2K4 ปีที่แล้ว
The empire state building has never been more successful than it is today, but that doesn't mean it was an overnight success. Coming out of arguably the biggest economic crisis, it was on the brim of failing for the first 20 years after construction. Follow our Instagram: ByltMedia Thanks for watching!

Corporate weasels as well as the design engineer and architect weasels not giving credit where it's due. Just watched a video where Diane Hartley, the structural engineering student who discovered the problem, was promised a $10,000 stipend from Citi bank to publish her thesis but then didn't return her calls and never acknowledged her work. Also linked to a talk about this project by the design engineer but the comments were turned off. I wonder why?
I thought it was Antila?? Is Antilia the same thing?
Warhammer Hive city
Well, I would not shun an invite to stay here. This is basically a Four Seasons with some extra rooms.
I bet someone in Dubai rivals this. Those people love to show up anyone perceived to have the 'best.'
This is a piece of crap. Ignore and move on!
This building did NOT nearly collapse.
Looks like a pile of books maybe?
Such a waste of money. Unexpected from India's richest man. What's the point? Everyone knows where you live, inviting unwanted attention. The place is enormous, requiring countless staff and immense upkeep. Is it all just for the sake of publicity? Most people are envious, but they don't idolize you. It's like the great pyramids, but without the historical significance. A private estate outside the city would be more practical and enjoyable. Even someone struggling financially can understand that. They might have inherited wealth, but not wisdom.
That's why we indians have more respect towards RATAN TATA sir🙌🏻👍🏻 ratan sir donates almost 66% of his money to charitable trusts..... And that's the only reason why he is not the richest man of india👍🏻 he is such a kind , humble person he just want to develop india rather than showoff and publicity...🙌🏻🙌🏻
It's the house of the anti Christ, which is why it is called Anti lia. Built for the purpose of the Big Bad Wolf to destroy. So it looks like a Jenga house.
Ah the hospital 🏥
Imagine being this rich and still smelling like Curry 😂
That’s so ugly !!!
It just looks ugly
1:38 - hypocrisy
they live in tall buildings surrounded by all gizmos so that somehow in their little minds they distance themselves from poverty . . . from death. But don't you worry, it's coming after them also. It's not even that they've put themselves there. The blind masses have put them there. Through the belief that what they have to sell will keep them safe or somehow increase their chances of cheating death. So between pray and predator in the economic jungle there is no difference really. They are both running away from death but there is no escape; only the belief that there is . . tomorrow.
I don't get the feeling claustrophobic part... A vertical city would be a gigantic monster, with wide pedestrian paths, stairs, parks and not just elevators. There can be several kilometers between the two ends of the building complex. In addition, it is worth building something like this if 80% self-sufficiency can be solved, so you need a complex that provides these and also provides jobs.Preference is given to those who are not dependent on objects and are demanding about their food and their environment, minimalists and vegetarians already live this way.
Whats the point of all these "advanced" architecture and high cost if after all a private home looks just like some fancy hotel from outside
Antilia most beautiful house in the world 🌎
Seriously man, it makes me wonder what exactly is the architecture in this pile of boxes?
The Royal ITC Hotel in Calcutta and the Kingdom Tower in Saudi Arabia are much more beautiful than Antilla!
He can live in that babylon, because he have a money, but don't have a soul 🙄
sorry guys but it look like a pile of rusted containers stacked one on top of another.
That building is a mess , horrible styling and waste of money . For way less than 2 bill , you can get a way nicer residence with ocean view , your own tennis court , and/or maybe a little forest as your own private park .
WBHEMER
indian arcitechture means not taj mahal lotus temple it is magificant temple of hoysala cholas ayodhya mandir mysore palace shivaji forts pls correct that
explanation of why each "problem" is not a real problem: 1. "lack of sunlight" lack of sunlight is indeed 100% important, people would need to go outside the city often to get fresh air and sunlight, but that is literally a feature of the city and a requirement for health, so it would be dumb for people not to do it, is like "punching yourself is bad" alright... then don't do it, you are your only cause for that. 2. "lack of resources/money/technology" just... just not true, we do have everything we need, also building a town of 10 literal houses is easy, building a literal copy of new york might be a bit harder, at least my city design is stupidly modular, like crazy crazy modular, just keep on building at whatever speed you need, it is useful at any size, it can keep growing and eventually become big, there in no need to build the entire thing either, but like of course you can't build something like new york in a day so I don't know what is the point. 3. "risks" skyscrapers are already like that, and therefore already risky, we already do it, we seem to do fine, and as we kinda said in the previous point this could take even longer giving the architects even more time to carefully plan each part, and also the other parts of the city can be used why the expansion is worked on, there is literally no rush and no reason to make things poorly, just keep on doing like we do with skyscrapers (heck... there are some ret-rds that insist on building space elevators... those ARE risky and dumb). 4. "claustrophobia" funny enough even tho it looks like such a dumb argument, it is actually one of strongest ones if not the strongest one, it is actually one of my main concerns, the city is just different and the feeling is just different, and if people just aren't comfortable... then they just aren't, indeed a lot of people seem to be claustrophobic, and this could probably be not cool for them, tho claustrophobic people are just some people, not everyone. 5. "disrupting the skyline" not to worry about that (at least in my design) because the absolute max max height would be 2 to 3 km and airplanes go at least at 8 km, they would also be few and it would be unlikely for planes to go just above, the thing is it is literally not a problem at all. extra: there are some other quick random things mentioned but they don't even sound serious, I don't think they are worth talking about.
Antaliya may be one of the most expensive houses, but surely not the most beautiful... to be frank, it looks weird from any angle - at least from the exterior...
First Amendment Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances. George Washington
It's ugly imo
THAT HURRICANE WONT WORK AS THERE ARE TOO MANY TALL BUILDINGS AND THEY DISPERSE THE HURRICANE. NOT THAT IT IS AT THE BORDERS. ALSO THE LOAD IS NOT JUST SHARED BY FOUR COLUMNS BUT ALSO THE MIDDLE DUCT( HOLDING LIFT OR WHAT AND THAT IS QUITE BIG IN ITSELF) SO LOAD GOES THROUGH 5 HUGE COLUMNS COME TO THINK OF IT. ----------- SO IT HAS DONE ITS JOB.
It went almost to "City Gore building".
I find Antillia design a bit odd.Floors popping out unevenly, looks very unsophisticated and unsystematic. It neither a palace nor modern marvel design. But interior design is awesome, as seen in video. Ambani's have a city in his house He seems to be a good man.👍
I kinda feel like people only care about the people that give and are rich
OK a few things. George Washington died in 1799 and never occupied the White House, whether he died or not, his term ended in 1797 so he wouldn't have resided there anyhow. Second, he died AFTER his time in office had concluded, so the "sadly" line is irrelevant. Also, Adams became POTUS in 1797, not 1979. In 1979, Jimmy Carter was President
FUN FACT: The Lincoln Bedroom was once rented out in exchange for bribes in the form of "campaign contributions" by Hillary Clinton and his sex-addicted husband Bill: Most of their top campaign donors would get to spend the night there.
Good luck 47.
Ambani family really look like royal family of India having a huge beautiful residential building Antilla
While luxuious on the inside, it is an eyesore on the outside. No sure, in spite of what it's worth, it would ever sell if the family chose to try to sell it.
Lets us vomit together......uhaah...
How could there be such a communication gap between the engineers and the builders. Was there no inspection during construction to notice the bolting.
It was entirely the design engineers fault. He designed a bolted connection which was not strong enough, it should have been a welded connection from the beginning. What they inspected was what he designed, there was no error to "notice". What was built and inspected was the original design.
Umm 47 seconds in anddd umm that’s not the White House
Why did G Washington never set foot into the White House? You say he lived 20 years after it was complete. Mt Vernon is close by, so why was he never a visitor or guest?
He dolidnt live for 20 years after, he died in December of 1799
You say in the video, “John Adams moved into the WH in 1979.” what?
The colonnades were torn down and rebuilt when the east and west wings were added to hold executive offices and the First Lady’s office/other rooms.
The picture at 54 seconds is Providence RI, not Washington DC.
John Adams became president in 1979?
Nooo silly
This monstrous mansion should be taken over by the revolutionary government of India and be thrown open for the living quarters of the poor of Mumbai. Rascal, don't upload such garbage videos again.
you must get to know the Temple of Tanjure in Tamilnadu built 1000 years back. please stope showing Ambani house. the real standing of this Sholla ( tamil ) Temple Architecture hast to the first and best ever.
Majestic house antilia mumbai💟
ALL THE BUILDING A DIFFERENT SHAPE AND SIZE AND NO STANDARS!!! Can't be any beauty in a chaos constructed a long by improvisation.
