We quickly discuss an easy way to make sure the garage door you bought will fit your new garage door opening! 9’ wide door by 7’ tall Jams should be 8’ 11” at top and bottom of opening in order to give yourself a half inch for the door to rest on the jam.

Great info be sure to promote that 1-flap on the dual fin is 2-times the thickness of the normal stuff (Dual Fin is 4-times as thick)

This one works great with the latest update. No issues whatsoever with latest logic board revision.
liftmaster had issue few years ago...almost made them junk....software update helped , tho

Don’t buy one of these. I had nothing but problem with mine and had to uninstall it and go back to my old opener. So many people are having issues with the model.
Hi Joe! So yes these openers can be trouble for people, one of the biggest reasons is because of the radius of the rails. 15" radius is recommended from spec on LiftMaster and anything up from there. Hope this helps!
Call LiftMaster tech support. They will send new logic boards for free if you have issues.
I called liftmaster because of this issue a while back and they recommended profile 5. It works but unfortunately the door will not recognize slack in the cable. That being said, the motors have a real slow start and as long as the door runs decent you won’t have a problem.
I installed new logic boards from LiftMaster and have had no issues. I love them.

I herd these are a nightmare since they don't have the cable tension monitor
We have installed a handful of these so far and seem to be having better luck without the tension monitor. Now these openers do run best with at least 15" horizontal rails and a very well balanced door.
There’s definitely big issues with these. My supplier is giving out new boards because liftmaster apparently fixed the bug. Liftmaster is aware of it at least.
The current version is great. Works consistently. They did an update to their logic board which solves the latest excessive force issue.
@@rb8049 I installed one a month ago, and it had this issue. Not sure when this was resolved or how long this motor was sitting in a warehouse. But definitely hoping this issue is fixed for good.

what model opener do you have?
You may have to press the reset button on the LED. You can always call LiftMaster for technical support.
Maybe show the buttons?
First, bad camera angles, second, there should be mention of either a list of compatible remotes or a place to verify a compatible remote. The remote buttons should be covered as to which does what. My remote does not have a “learn mode”, so what other options with generic remotes would work. Too-quick dialog isn’t “easy/ peasy/ lemon squeezy”
I would like to say sorry for the poor camera angles. This video was used for a quick guide for our new employees. We are in the process of setting up a better camera setup for these types of videos! As for lists of remotes that work with the 4.0 Logic boards. That is something that can be looked up as well, we use the 893MAX remote for almost every liftmaster/chamberlain/craftsman opener because they work with them all. If you wanted to use a generic remote you would have to find one that would match the manufacturing date of said opener. Thank you for watching!

He said the steps lol. -Pgrm -click twice -click diff button -radio on LB -click same button once -radio again -wait a sec and should work. Instructions on the actual panel are the same as 5.0 logic board for some reason. It's weird
