Ten Ton Chicken - Tamarack Deck Jam - 7/21/1
We played the Tamarack Music Festival on a summer weekend in 2001. We had played a late night set on 7/20/1 where we met an awesome band named Taos Hum. We then played a noon set, but it was short, and we wanted more. We set up on the sun deck of the Tamarack Lodge. We borrowed mics, stands, monitors, and proceeded to let 'er rip. We invited members of Taos Hum to join us on a song or two.
This is a spontaneous wild improvisation. We actually included this jam on our debut album, Just Like in the Old Country. If you leave the CD inserted, and wait 4 minutes and 20 seconds, this plays.
We didn't record this impromptu set. However, amazingly, a few months later at a gig, someone came up to us and handed us a CD of the entire set. He had set up and recorded! Thank you, citizen.

That is pretty much EXACTLY the same band that I sat in with on tenor saxophone 🎷, along with a phenomenal and cool as can be, Ouroboros, an incredible Central Coast Band, at SLO Brew, in San Luis Opispo. The drummer was extremely talented, and super cool!
