Jewel Of The Isle Night Interview_Nassau Coliseum, 10/1986 Jewel Of The Isle night_1986 IMG 5289
มุมมอง 453 ปีที่แล้ว
In one of my very first professional assignments as an illustrator in 1986, I created a promotional poster for the NY Islanders as a giveaway to fans for “Jewel of the Isle” night. It features Pat LaFontaine, Mike Bossy, Bryan Trottier, Bill Smith and Steve Konroyd in a take-off of Indiana Jones/Romancing The Stone. The team rolled out the red carpet for me that night, not only supplying a luxu...
The Official Keith Emerson Tribute Concert DVD/CD

Join me I open up The Official Keith Emerson Tribute Concert DVD/CD package for the very first time! I will forever be grateful that I was asked to part of this incredible effort on behalf of my hero, and I regard this as the “drop the mic” piece to cap off my long illustration career. :)

Here's another snippet of these two amazing guitarists performing the work of Gurdjieff/De Hartmann. To keep things interesting for the musicians and people that come to my shows, I built the backdrop and added plastic candles.I also have a variety of different lights that I control discreetly from my front row seat with remotes - very cheap and effective high tech! :)

Here’s a nice snippet of the wonderful Bert Lams & Fabio Mittino performing at TLCPA (my art studio)on 1/12/20 - our last concert before the world turned to shit. The music doesn't begin until around 8 minutes in, but if you want the full effect of what a concert is like here, then enjoy the vibe and stick out my lengthy introduction :)

The absolutely BEST Christmas song I heard so far this year was performed in October, right here in my studio by Robert Berry and the fabulous 3.2 Band…Merry Christmas from TLCPA!

Here is “Dreaming”, one of my favorite songs performed by Little Days at TLCPA on 10-20-19! It ends with a really Proggy/acidy synth solo by T-Bone Andersson set over the very distinctive drumming by the one and only Jerry Marotta, along with an "Abacab"-like bass line by Gov't Mule's Jorgen Carlsson - check it out!

The Rocking Horse Music Club performs the title track from their tribute album, and has created an interesting take on the original version that famously had Phil Collins singing lead on. Juli Gort Finn plays an excellent extended guitar solo, and Patrik Gochez (back right corner) does a nice job on lead vocals, and Eric Wagley is fabulous on drums!

"Something Blue" is an unreleased song by Anthony Phillips that was included on the tribute album, "Which Way The Wind Blows" and was specifically provided for Evelyn Cormier (2019 American Idol - 14th place finish). Evelyn was originally going to perform on this night, but was unable to make it. However, Juli Gort Finn does a lovely job singing this vaguely country-like tune, while Marine vete...

The Rocking Horse Music Club plays The Music of Anthony Phillips at The LoFaro Center of The Performing Arts (my studio). Here's an excellent version of "Pulling Faces" from Wise After the Event that started off the concert.
Robert Berry/3.2 Band @ TLCPA_10-6-19_Last Ride Into The Sun

Last Ride Into The Sun was written by Robert Berry and intended to be on the long ago follow up to The Power Of Three with Emerson & Palmer, but sadly was never was recorded by them. This is a smokin' long form Prog epic, and performed powerfully by 3.2!

Among many treats from the 3.2 Band, I loved having one of my favorite Jethro Tull songs performed!

The spirit of Keith Emerson is in my studio once again as "Powerful Man," the song that is dedicated to him from 3.2's album The Rules Have Changed is performed!

Wow, there is nothing more to say.
Bravo Rachael.
She is such a joy to listen to
Being blind is not what makes it so impressive, all good pianists can play blindfolded. What is impressive is that she can have no help from sheet music and literally has to have every note memorised for every single piece she plays and that is on a different level completely. Genius.
It was recorded in the studio with Emerson & Palmer. It appears on Robert Berry's album, Pilgrimage To A Point, along with another track, Shelter :)

Tribute? The man is still very much alive. Anyhow, bless these peple's hearts for singing one of Ant's great tunes. However, they do it no service. Boom chick?? Ouch. Phil, where are you??l
As genuine a National Treasure as one can be.
💖💖💖💖💖💖💖
Wow. Awesome!
😮😮😮
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
This album was smuggled into the Soviet Union by my mother.. I heard it first 40 years ago and it still is my favourite album. I heard it so many times I can score it. Rachel, you just made a 60 years old man cry. THANK YOU!!
❤
What blows my mind is Keith was still alive when she was born - orherwise - it would be easy to say say she was an incarnation of him - Just the sort of practical joke he would try from "The Other Side"
I could watch/listen to this 5 times a day.👏👏👏👏
Her “Joy Dance” when she nails it is wonderful beyond words. When all the talking heads are on TV trying to convince us how rotten human beings are this video should be immediately played over top.
The notes are in her head
Maravillosa interpretacion!!!
I don’t have words to express this incredible interaction with the piano!!!!❤❤❤
Goodbye goodbye what a performance
BRAVO!!! Bravissimo!!!
Excellent song !!!!, one of the best voices in rock .
Closest playing to Mr Emerson we'll be ever able to hear... she's amazing, she plays with real energy and passion, the truly ingredients behind Keith's music... beyond technique. God bless her... yes, she's a real miracle. Really hope to be able to see her play live someday. I'll be as happy as her at the end of this video.
Damn... just.. damn
I'll never understand why the record companies didn't support Emerson, Berry and Palmer and why they never backed Robert Berry either. One more industry mystery!
Fantastic Rachel....
Every time I visit Rachel's posts, I never fail to be amazed ...
Really good concert enjoyed it thoroughly
Great song!
Mejor que Emerson.
Keith Emerson lives!
Well done 🎹
This is absolutely amazing.
Another stunning video 🥰🥰
brilliant track played by a brilliant band
Amazing lady ❤
A brilliant song I first heard it and sent Robert a well done on Facebook the rest is history
That it is!
the perfect replacement to Wetton in Asia
No kidding - I had quite the conversation with RB about that when he was here!
Perfect, as usual for Rachel. (What threw me off is that the overhead view is a mirror image. It shows the high end of the piano on the left, but as with all pianos/keyboards, Rachel is playing the higher end with her right hand, and bass part with her left. It is reversed in that view. Once I caught that, I could follow along better. )
I've been listening to her for a few years and playlisted her on my show, only now have I discovered that she is blind... mindblowing
She is gifted. Praise God for her ability.
Why? Praise her. She did that work, while your god lets children die of starvation.... great god..
Only one word comes to mind when I hear Rachael play... Unbelievable!
Love rachel
Rachel, you are wonderful. xxx
Bravo !!! Brilliant !!!!
She is impressive beyond words.
She gets better and better!
That was amazing! Incredible! I wish I could have been there.
